The Welder — Local services in Christchurch

I was looking forward to visiting The Welder after hearing great things about it. I was especially excited to try Salut Salut. My partner and I arrived early one Friday evening, the place had a fair few people there but was nowhere near packed. We walked up to the bar at Salut Salut, the only other guests by the bar was a group of about 6 who had just finished ordering. We stood by the bar for more than 10 minutes and not once were we even acknowledged. The bartenders didn't even say hello to us, all 3 of them were concentrated on completing the group of 6's order. There were no other customers by the bar, the group of 6 had sat down at a table nearby. We stood there completely ignored for over 10 minutes before deciding to go elsewhere. We were intending to spend $75+ on tapas and drinks but we did not get the chance. This was disappointing as it looked like a stunning environment to relax in. We will not be rushing back...

hello the welder management. just a suggestion, please put 2 toddler trikes. i recently had a bad experience from a british lady wanting my 3 year old son get off the bike because its her grandsons turn. i asked my son if he is willing to share, unfortunately, its pretty hard to ask a 3 year old to get off the bike in a very nice and free roaming environment for a 3 year old. so i said sorry to this british lady. she rolled her eyes, gave a huge puff and walked away with out even saying thank you. that, i understood. that i can take. then as she was leaving, shes still not done yet. she sly told me, "well you could have tried better. you shouldve asked him to share" this- i cant take. this type of attitute is just unacceptable. so i put it to the fact that i am asian and shes white. hubris. so please, just a suggestion in order to avoid this type of entitlement of the white race, PLEASE add...

Welder is very nice and trendy meet , grab some food or drink and relax area in newly redeveloped part of southern CBD. It host multiple businesses from cafes, Japanese restaurant, drink bar, flower shop and yoga studio. There is a a bigger room for events as well. Plenty of room to sit and relax or meet for business lunch in a very casual atmosphere. It has even small dedicated area for little ones. The only improvement will be better WiFi coverage over entire space, something that many visitors who come with their laptops will surely appreciate. Overall very nice and...
