Disappointing Customer Service Experience

I recently visited Tauranga store on 24th August 2024 at between 3:15-3:30pm, From the moment we entered, it felt like we were being watched, and not in a helpful or welcoming way. One of the staff members was following us around the store, making us feel extremely uncomfortable, as if we were going to steal something. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also downright disrespectful. I would also request the management team to check your camera what they thought about this.

As customers, we expect to browse and shop in peace without feeling like we're under suspicion for simply being in the store. This experience left us feeling bad and unwelcome, and it's not the kind of customer service anyone should have to endure. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this store, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to others. Customer service should be about making customers feel valued, not alienated. Management should train staff members. We regularly buy from sketcher and never felt like this. I recently brought a new pair of shoes from the Tauriko store. The girl in there was friendly but she accidentally overcharged me for the shoes and I didn’t realise until after the transaction was made as we were chatting while the payment went through. She then had no idea how to refund what I was owed as there was some sort of problem with the computer and could not just give me cash out of the till. I went away and came back half an hour later and there was another girl in there who also couldn’t do the refund. After waiting 20 or so minutes I left and said I would come back next time. When I did return the girl there still didn’t know how to the refund - I left again. Later receive a call that they could do it but the call dropped mid sentence and she never phoned back. I went back in again to wait another 20 minutes and finally was refunded back onto my card. My refund still hasn’t been processed and it’s been over 2 weeks. Won’t be shopping...

Just had a wonderful shopping experience. Well the happiness/satisfaction bar has been set extremely high this morning. On entering the Tauriko Skechers shop we were met with a enormous smile and a good morning to match.. 12 out of 10 points 👌. I am old and all this tech stuff can confuse me. "Tyler" guided me through the payment by card process with out making me want to find a rock to hide under. Fantastic customer service, therefore I think 12 out of 10 points again.
