Tekapo B2 Lakeview Apartment — Local services in South Island

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. We totally love it and wish that we could stay longer. Ban, Kaori and Coo (their dog) are really friendly. ||||Apartment is just 10 mins walk to the main central where you can find several dining options such as Kohan Japanese restaurant (Great Japanese food. Reservation recommended). ||||During your stay, you have full privacy although the family stays downstairs. In the day, open up the sliding doors and enjoy an unblock view of Lake Tekapo. At night, stand at the balcony and count millions of stars or like us, off all the lights and open the doors, sit on the sofa and immerse in the beautiful landscape (it can get really cold so be sure to keep warm). ||||Kitchen is fully equipped. We bought salmon fillet from Mt Cook salmon farm and pan-fried them which were very fresh and sweet. ||||Full window in the bathroom also allow give you an amazing view of the surroundings. Blinds can be drawn down for privacy. Off the lights and look out through the roof window where the stars are shining. ||||Bedroom is very spacious and cosy with simple decors. Sleep in with the stars staring at you through another roof window and open your eyes to clear blue sky in the day. We recently stayed at this wonderful apartment after doing a lot of research to find the best place for a couple who wanted the view and the comfort. We were not disappointed with our choice and will definitely stay here again. The view over the lake was the best we could wish for and the apartment had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen and a glorious huge bed with a skylight just above our heads. From there we were lucky enough to view the amazing galaxy of stars in the middle of the night and just had to get up to see them from the balcony. The place was totally ours for two nights. Wonderful shower too.||Our hosts Ban and Maori were extremely accommodating and friendly and even sent our adaptor back to us by post which we had left behind....

From the moment we stepped in and saw the breathtaking view of Lake Tekapo, we knew we made the right choice. The rooms were so comfortable and inviting that we felt we were at home. We appreciated the extra throws and blankets, as well as the detailed instructions and well-labelled devices. The owners provided some laundry detergent, which made using the washer/dryer very easy. A pleasure from start to finish, due to the owner's hospitality and thoughtful touches. ||Excellent location; just a 7 minute walk to the famous church for sunrise/sunset photos, and less than 10 minutes to the main town area, with a grocery store and restaurants.
