Dosa Corner — Local services in Waitematā

This is an amazing place where one can delight themselves in various South Indian dishes. To those who have not had the opportunity yet, one must go and try out the dishes. All of their dishes are equally good so one would struggle to say which is better or so.

Food:

Dosas: They have a variety of Dosas which have the unique south Indian touch. The flavor hits you well. With all the dosas, sambhar and two chutneys are provided. The taste of sambhar is top-notch.

Uttapam: Like dosas, they too have a variety of Uttapams which is amazing. For many souls who delight themselves in a variety of puffy pancakes, this place provides them all at a decent price.

Rice: they have rice dipped in curd, tomato, and lemon. The rice dishes are done with sincere perfection and the aromatic smells of it linger one of nostalgia of the south.

Vadas & Idlis. The idlis appear in mini sizes and can be dipped in sambhar and podi (powder) and the chutneys provided are tomato and coconut. The vadas are freshly done and when served it is hot. The taste is phenomenal.

Service:

The kind lady who serves there is always open to explaining the dish in detail, hence if one has no clue, certainly ask her.

The person who serves and takes your order will do so with a smile and be very honest about the pricing and the size of the dishes.

If the dish is made but surpasses one’s expectation time, they kindly apologize for it. Please know that they are very busy with many orders – be gentle with them for time as they are racing to get the food done in good quality for everyone.

You can purchase to eat there or as a takeaway. Regardless, the quality is amazing.

The lovely couple who started this venture worked long hours to get the food ready for all the customers. They have achieved quality in taste, timing, and good service. Do sincerely thank them when they make the food for you as a lot of sincere hard work was done from their end.

I ordered the classic masala dosa, and it exceeded my expectations. The dosa was perfectly cooked, golden and crisp, filled with a delicious potato masala that was flavorful and not overly spicy. The chutneys and sambar were outstanding, bringing out the true essence of South Indian cuisine. The best I had in Auckland!

Masala vada was just out of this world!! So tasty and flavourful. Perfect companion with their yummy chocolate shake 😍😋

The menu offers a variety of South Indian options, each more tempting than the last. The staff was courteous and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience.

Well, what can I say? I was recommended by a friend to visit this place. It turned out to be one of the best chilly potato and vegetarian cheese uthappam experiences of my life.
