My experience definitely grants 5 stars for Hotel Grand Millennium. Loved it’s location, service, staff and amenities. 👍 Just a casual walk away from the city cafes and restaurants. 👍 Easy entrance, with safe and secured parking. 35 nzd for multiple entries is so fair. 👍👍 Room service was a bit delayed coz I had to call back and remind them but I understand it was after midnight and a very small order. However I really needed that coffee and it was well made to suit my taste and preference. So thank you 🙏 Stayed for 2 nights. Had great view of the city. Good size. The 2 double beds were clean, and cosy. Bath was clean and had more than enough amenities. Has a pretty large lounge area at the entrance and lots of space. Nice restaurants on the premises. Breakfast was nice. Wanted to try the on site Japanese restaurant(love Japanese cuisine)but couldn’t find time from hanging out with family friends. Had an easy checkout. 6am after a long loud energetic night with my childhood girlfriends . The staff addressed me with a slow and soft voice and he took care of the fact I looked tired and sleepy. Thank you 🙏 I also wish to thank Neha, the staff at the hotel who took the courtesy of calling me back and helping out with my inquiry. 👍🙏 Overall good experience 👍👍☺️. Thank you Grand Millennium 🌸🦋🌸🦋🌸🦋.

Update: 2nd leg of our stay - Junior Suite We came back to Grand Millennium for the final leg of our stay in Auckland. This time we booked a Junior Suite and everything was SO MUCH better. At least, the temperature stayed at a comfortable 19°C. Even though modern device charging capabilities were still severely lacking, the suite was much bigger, and we were given so many more sets of towels, vanity kits, shaving kits, dental kits, sewing kits, soaps, etc. Hotel Guest parking with in-out privilege was a hit or miss, and we had to seek credit of overcharged parking fees. 1st leg of our stay - in a Club King Room. The positives - The hotel is centrally located; our room is small but sufficiently clean; bathroom is big; the breakfast buffet is decent; and the Japanese restaurant is good. Opportunities for improvement - hotel amenities can use some updates; in-room dining menu can be improved; tv channel line-up is disappointing; and the temperature in the room can’t go below 22°C which is a bit warm for some travelers! And, when we only used one set of towels, instead of replenishing a set, the used set got taken away even when we didn’t drop them in the bath tub nor the shower floor! With all that being said, Grand Millennium is a great choice given the room rates and the hotel location!

Great location...easy 8 min walk from airport buses ( both international and domestic) Probably a good 12 min walk to ferry terminal. Rooms were tidy and functional except a microwave oven would have been very useful. No compendium or information booklet to point out those little things eg apparently if you leave a light on your room doesn't get serviced. Our bathroom door didn't close without a hard squeaky push! The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows and as was requested, my gf and I each had a good sized double/queen bed. The usual things were supplied eg iron/ iron board/ hair-dryer, complimentary Toiletries. A good sized fridge was provided with tea/coffee making equipment and satchets for the above. Air conditioning was a little hard to work out and we were either too hot or too cold. Card operated elevators. Busy and expensive breakfast in a downstairs brasserie...didn't eat here but told $35 for brekky ? Also a few coffee eatery areas. Coffee $8? Not my cup of tea🤭 We were here for a sporting event and supposedly got a discounted price. $258 AUS was definitely overpriced for a double room. Staff seemed quite friendly but being mostly Indian spoke a little too fast for me. All in all it was quite a nice hotel, just over priced .

Right from arrival at the motel we were unhappy computers down since the day before for maintenance checking on was a line threw the check in and lobby forty minute check in wait twenty minute check in then get to room to n unmade bed dirty cups on table dirty towels in bathroom. Back to check in counter another forty minute wait an argument and finally another room after being told we can wait while it's cleaned when we were soaking wet from down pour getting to motel ...so was not happy with wiring in soaking clothes . After being told they had no other rooms we are given another room .. the room was so hot as the windows did not open we had a view off rubbish in a garden dwn below a ugly building with trees blocking by city view. No or conditioning so sitting in the room we were drenched in sweat we had to go outside to get fresh air or my air the room was so hot we woke drenched in sweat and suffocating the shower door glass sounded like it was going to break each time you opened it we had no towels no change off any room service for our entire stay.. our key card stopped working six times we had to get it reset for elevators and our door would not open our door was very frustrating... There was no space to cater for cigrette or vapING smokers.. on the day we left was the first time we were asked by staff if we were ok.. the rest off the time the skeleton staff was very un helpful.. upon entering and exiting carpark into lobby during the run one off the light fixtures had water pouring out it onto the floor causing slippery lino ... It cost us for a double bourbon and coke Nd a single red bull and vodka at there bar eighteen dollars each a drink when we questioned the lady if was right whom didn't speak very good English ignored us twice asking if the price was right and slammed our drinks on table purposely not making eye contact and ignored our last attempt at was the price correct... They advertise on site restaurants and they are all closed... And half off the motel has a musty damp smell and is closed off there was the very minimum off anything for the price we payed we are so unhappy to top off out cancelled Elton John concert we had the worst motel stay ever a city view what a lie eating places within walking distance absolute lies that is ill walk miles to find one mayb b McDonald's or subway no restaurants.. the carpark had water streaming into it threw the rin that the bottom carpark filled up so much the water was upto the ramp to the next level.. and not to mention carparks re first in first served as most off them are reserved Nd you will not find off site parking...I will not recommend this place to anybody the price you pay is ridiculous for what you get... The whole place including elevators needs to be vaccumed and the net curtains are brown walls are brown yellow colour and everything is so out off date... I felt ;Ike the staff were rude to my partner and I as we were beneath them.. and absolute discussed that when flight attendants walk in the get priority above everybody else.. not happy that upon check out on Sunday the computers were still down... Shambles this motel Nd deserves no stars as not one thing was to...

Concierge staff were amazing. Help with bags and parking. Spot on.

Front desk were slow and couldn't understand our group booking. Insisting I pay upfront for rooms booked by my company.

Parking is not convenient. It's convoluted. Elevator up to near/behind reception. Then a walk the width of the building to the other elevator to go up to your floor.

Food options are horrific. Room service options are limited, arrived cold and it's not very nice. Staff were unable to tell us what allergen friendly options were available. One person saying something is gluten free, another saying it's not. It's a good way for someone to get very sick. Had to wait 30 mins for someone to let us know if we could order anything for Celiac. Costs a small fortune. Uber Eats arrived cold because the delivery guy was on a bike. Also had no cutlery or napkins.

Rooms are ok. Very clean. Lighting is a nightmare. Cannot do make up in the bathroom. I understand it is an old building, however lighting can definitely be updated. We had no teaspoons for our coffee. No cutlery or plates for Uber Eats. Bathrooms are nice and large. Have large full baths which was great to relax in.

Decor is a little outdated but I really like the architecture of the building. It could be so 70's/80's glamour but it's not meeting it's full potential. I hope the current construction pays homage to the history of the building as well as bringing facilities in to the current decade.

The highlight of the stay was the bar in the atrium. Staff were lovely. Great customer service. We had the clarified pina colada and it was to DIE for. I don't normally like creamy cocktails but this thing was out of this world tasty without being too sweet.

Overall, if I needed to stay there again, I would purely to have that cocktail again and I love the architecture. I would bring a lot of snacks becasue the rooms don't have a microwave to prepare any food and the room service is a HARD PASS and I'm not going to bother with Uber Eats again.

Typically we would have gone out to eat but we were traveling with kids/babies and the weather wasn't good enough to take them out. Getting the car in and out wasn't worth trying to drive through a city where all the roads are blocked only to return to find the carpark full due to it servicing the general public. Not just guests.

Valet parking should be offered. It's ridiculous that it isn't. It speaks to the "cheapness" operating cost of this place. The parking is not convenient. Especially if you are elderly or have children.

This place could be incredible. If it was done right. Concierge and bar staff...

I travel regularly and stay in hotels throughout NZ every month and I can honestly say this was my most disappointing and chaotic hotel experience in a long time. |The staff were generally friendly and helpful but incompetent (Reception, Concierge, Bar staff). They largely appears bored and unmotivated which, in my experience, usually indicates poor management.||My experience began when I couldn't check in for several hours due to the long queues at Reception and minimal staffing. I deposited my bags and went for a walk around the city to allow the queue to disperse. When I returned to the hotel and checked in, I was informed my bags had already been delivered to my room but when I got to the room they weren't there; I called Reception and it took a further 2hrs to get my bags delivered. ||At bedtime I couldn't turn the lights off in my room. A technician was summoned and he spent over an hour (just before midnight) going back and forth in and out of my room trying to figure out a way to turn the lights off. He was unable to do this so he disconnected the whole room for the night and assured me he would get it fixed the next day. ||The following morning I had no power to the room and after a full day at conference I returned to my room to find still nothing had been fixed. I called Reception and 2 young ladies arrived at my room. After much pressing of switches and scratching of heads they decided I should move rooms. They helped me pack and move to a different room and gave me a free drink token for the inconvenience.||The following evening I went to the bar to redeem my drink voucher but was informed I couldn't have a cocktail, only house wine or beer. I agreed to pay for my cocktail but the barman informed my he couldn't make it anyway, only premade mixes were available.||On my last day I checked out in the morning and left my bag in Reception for the day. When I went to depart later that day they couldn't find my bag so they took me around 4 different luggage storage rooms to search and identify my bag. I was just thankful to leave, with my...
