⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must-Try for Taco Lovers in Auckland!
I had an amazing experience at That Taco Place on Queen Street! The food is packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and generous portions, making it one of the best spots in town for Mexican-inspired street food.
What I Loved:
✅ Delicious Burritos & Tacos – The chicken burrito was perfectly balanced with garlic & lime grilled chicken, paprika rice, pinto beans, and fresh guacamole. The tacos were equally impressive, especially the pork carnitas with chipotle crema—juicy, smoky, and full of flavor.
✅ Vegetarian & Vegan Options – I really appreciated the jackfruit and paneer options! The BBQ jackfruit burrito with spicy peri-peri sauce was surprisingly hearty and satisfying.
✅ Crispy Nachos & Loaded Fries – Their nachos were incredible! The beef nachos had a perfect combination of crispy chips, sunny-side-up eggs, beans, and creamy jalapeño ranch. The loaded fries were a must-have with cheese sauce and spicy jalapeños.
✅ Great Combo Deals – If you’re hungry, their combos are great value for money, offering burritos, tacos, and quesadillas with chips and drinks.
Overall Experience:
The service was quick and friendly, and the food was freshly prepared. The food truck setup gives it a cool, casual vibe, perfect for a quick lunch or late-night bite.
I highly recommend That Taco Place to anyone in Auckland craving authentic, delicious, and affordable Mexican food! I’ll definitely be...
Read moreTacos, burritos and quesadilla is what we got. They were all very tasty! I came here for the birria though and just wanted to leave a review about it .. if you are familiar with mexican birria, this is not it. They offer a birria sauce (not included) , and can make “any meat” into Birria tacos. They are not traditional, there is no queso on the tortilla nor inside, no cilantro, no consume , and no hot sauce (standard in NZ tho). They are an onion and sour cream with meat taco. The meat is not slow cooked in the consume , it’s just a whatever meat you get grilled on a flat top and they dip the tortilla in the consume and that’s the only traditional part of how they’re made. Still, very good tacos! But not actually Birria tacos . Only 3 stars for atmosphere because this is in a serious construction zone, it’s very loud and there is nowhere to eat . The 3 stools are far too short to sit in and eat your food, but...
Read moreI recently visited the That Taco Place on Queen Street that's an expert in Mexican food. They offer more than 50 varieties of burritos, tacos, nachos, and naked burritos. I tried the chicken naked burrito, paneer burritos, paneer quesadillas, fajitas taco, and loaded fries. Their unique recipes resulted in some of the most delightful meals I've ever had. The opening on Queen Street had been highly anticipated, and it definitely lived up to expectations. They have their own sauce recipes, with the birria sauce being particularly delicious and highly recommended with tacos and burritos. All the ingredients are fresh, and I can confidently say that the price, quality, and quantity of the food are excellent. They have a great combination of ingredients, spices, and taste, which makes them...
