On hindsight, she was off with me the moment I popped in to check it out because she knew she couldn’t pull the wool over my eyes 👸🏾I WAS eventually going to ask her how much the products etc were and how could she possibly answer in front of her (non African) clientele that she’s charging these exorbitant prices to without exposing herself. They are well known for exploiting a certain type of clientele.

She wanted me to leave and treated me as such - as soon as I came is she was cold and didn’t return the warmth and initial gratitude I was giving her, having an African salon in central Auckland was amazing to see. She told me I needed permission to take a photo of a product I was sending to a friend with dreads (why go Amazon instead of supporting your local right) and when I asked for permission, she responded with ‘are you buying? This isn’t a studio’ and proceeded to stare me down with the filthiest and rudest stare. I had to leave before it escalated. There is a reason most people will go there once and never go back… DO NOT let her pull the wool over your eyes! There are many other warm, talented hairdressers in Auckland - I’ve gone to Hair Extensions On The Shore for eight years and she’s an amazing talented and kind hairdresser - this salon is NOT...

I had to wait for another hr after my appointment time.It was so annoying when the couple kept on chatting in high pitched voices beside my ears while attending to my hair.It's been 7 months now since I had my dreadlocks  done and all the comments I got from friends with dreadlocks and other hair stylists about my locks that they are just too big.it wasn't my idea because I didn't know anything about dreadlocks but I trusted you guys since you are  professionals .I paid an extra $80 for a dry shampoo that left white residues on my hair ,it ended up in the bin with a liquid one that I now buy it for $20 online or in the pharmacy.I wont recomend this place...

Very rude when trying to book an appointment. Edit - After leaving this review they found a photo of me on facebook and edited it to say BUSINESS DESTOYER. Then they sent it to me on facebook. All I wanted was to ask if you could do braids with my hair and you rudely turned me away to say my hair was too short come back when its longer. I said no probem I will find somewhere else that will do it (which I have done and they did a really good job). Then you tried to be petty by replying “Your Welcome”. So I left this honest review.
