TL;DR: Extremely frustrated customer here. I gave him a guide but did what he wanted anyway, for the second time, and overcharged me just because of the lines of "the change was drastic" Going against the grain here, but I'm just extremely unhappy. I don't even like writing bad reviews, but this one's just horrible. My partner and I used to like him and would always go to him for our haircuts for 2 years. I grew my hair long so it wouldn't be as hard to style as I could just tie it up. In my haircut before the last, I've shown him a photo of what I wanted. He only took a glance and didn't follow it at all. It was supposed to be somewhat a one length, but he layered my hair. So for a while, it was hard to tie. I thought it's not too bad, just a lemon, and will just grow it back again. This time, I decided to have it cut shorter but supposedly still easy to maintain. I've shown him MY OWN photo from 3 years ago, with the exact style I wanted. Should be hard to f up right? I've had this haircut for a long time before, with pretty good consistency despite using different stylists. I thought to myself, "This is a piece of cake to PJ." I trusted him with all my heart because I know he's good. He also kept boasting his experiences with all kinds of hair. I kept reminding him not to shorten it too much as my asian hair would spike up to the sides. I essentially told him NOT to use electric shaver, but he said just a bit. He didn't listen. He used the electric shaver for about 90% of the time and even cut the sides TOO f-ing short. Then what's worse is he overcharged me at $59 when his sign clearly shows $48 for Men haircut. His defense was that because my hair was long. Well, he mostly used electric shaver just like a regular barber, it's about a 10-minute job, and his sign f-ing says $48. I just paid out of frustration and left the place as fast as i could. Now I look like a highschool kid and need to use hair wax so my hair won't look like bird's nest. PJ, listen to what your customer wants. Don't insist on what you want for them.

I've probably changed barbers 4 or 5 times over the last few years. Don't get me wrong they all gave pretty good haircuts but if I didn't want a: copy and paste, 0 fade going up the sides, "I'm a pretty fuccboi in my 20s" - style cut I was always left a bit disappointed. I've been here 3 times in the last few months. Every single time I've received close to salon quality hair cuts for my medium/long hair. 1 of which was for my wedding. Both hairdressers (PJ and Alex) are amazing and have gone the extra mile to make sure my hair looks and feels slick and sexy. 10/10

Finally! A hairdresser who knows how to cut my particular brand of curly hair. Excellent service, competitive prices and super friendly, PJ and his team are always amazing. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately I got a terrible experience. This was going to be my second hair cut here, i felt that the first time was very good as i got curly hair and sometimes is difficult to find someone that can cut it the way i like and this guy did.

when i arrived to my appointment another hair dresser started to cut my hair, i expressed in a kind way that i was not comfortable with him and that i would prefer the main hair dresser that is the owner of this place to cut my hair, this guy "owner" looked at me as i were crazy and that his employee will do the job and told me "you have 2 options or he cut your hair or you dont get a cut because im fully booked" then he pointed me and told to sit like a command haha, WTF?? so his employee could remove the things that were in my head. After that he even asked if everything was alright with a tone like if has laughing about me , i even replied still in a kind way that was not alright and he interrupted me just saying have a good weekend in a rude way.

I left with a half cut and angry resulting in a terrible customer service just because this owner did not like that i preferred to wait for him.

What a shame of a person...

I would give them 4 stars for styled cuts as I have curly hair and sunny did a great job on that. However I got my highlights done from there and for me it was quite disastrous as the colour and the streaks were not flattering unless my hair was blow dried straight and was left down. If I put my hair up I looked like a skunk as the streaks were quite large on top. I had to go to another place to get it fixed as after I came back to them very worried about my colour and why it was fading so fast, the options they gave made me feel they were more concerned with making money from it instead of helping me fix it. Also might be good idea to have the price of the highlights agreed on paper instead of verbal agreement as I was told $190 (colour, cut and blow dry) at the beginning but after the highlights was done I was told $265 (double check before you get the treatment done on the day too). I would recommend them for hair styling but I would go somewhere else for colour highlights. As for me after this situation I have found another place for my styling and...
