We booked a room for a night at $130 which was the cheapest in the CBD and got great value for money! It was super clean and so refreshing! Great customer service on arrival, they were nice enough to allow us to park in drop off area while we transfer our luggage to our room. We loved the view from our room which I took a photo from our room. Room included a safe which worked well, tea/coffee was available, a mini fridge and a boiling jug. Pillow menu which I found was amazing! Although I saw this abit too late so couldn’t utilise this service but when I return I will definitely try other options. We did call the restaurant to order dinner 10 minutes before it closed, however we were told the restaurant stopped taking orders. Dinner ends at 9.30, we called at 9.20pm. This was abit of a let down and a loss of business. There was no tooth brush available in the bathroom, however, when calling reception, they were able to deliver it very quickly. The AC did not work properly as even though the AC was turned on and temperature set to 20degrees, it was so hot the whole night. Location was about a 3-5 minute walk to Sky City. As there was no parking available for guests, we would recommend parking at Sky City as it’s super close. If you have a membership there, you get free parking so it was convenient for us. Overall, we would recommend staying here, it was such a good experience apart from the...
Read moreWe recently stayed at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Auckland – Wellesley and had a great experience overall. We really appreciated that parking was included in our deal, which made things super convenient. The hotel itself was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We were very impressed with how quiet the room was we were not awoken by external noise despite it being so central! Which made for a restful night's sleep.
We made use of the $50 room credit and ordered a Margherita pizza and fries. The pizza was lovely and the aioli was nice, though the fries were a bit disappointing — they tasted more like thrice cooked kumara-style wedges than regular French fries, which was dissappointing. The shower pressure could have been more forceful, we enjoyed the Antipodes citrus toiletries were beautiful and fragrant, which was a nice touch.
The barista coffee was just okay, not quite my preferred bean, though I’m not sure which one they use. The staff were all professional, helpful, and courteous throughout our stay.
The buffet breakfast was the highlight; absolutely delicious and high quality! My favourites were the grilled halloumi, beans, and chicken sausages, along with the chia seed mango pots and fresh orange juice.
A really pleasant stay overall; comfortable, clean, and great value with the inclusions. We would definitely stay again, ideally for two...
Read moreThis place also boasts a luxurious inner city stay with lovely views and elegant rooms with gorgeously soft bedding and pillows. I dined in the restaurant and ate the most divine steak dish I have ever eaten in my life in a very stylish surroundings with a great view of the sky tower. Honestly, I have eaten very nice food before but this dish well exceeded my expectations...so much so I ordered another one! The chocolate and cherry tirumusu was amazing too! Their buffet breakfast as well. The omelette was cooked fresh and the other breakfast items were delicious especially the mango and coconut chia puddings! This Hotel changed the course of my stay by offering me a late check out free of charge. In particular, Cyril and team could not do enough to make my stay more pleasant! The level of customer service here is exceptional- exceptional quality, exceptional cleanliness, exceptional dining and exceptional people. If you want to go to a hotel that just treats you as a number, go elsewhere, but if you want to go somewhere where they treat you like a human being (I mean you can even order a lavender scented...
