I recently had the pleasure of of having my partners and I's hen and stag do on the magnificent Kawau Isle boat, and I must say, it was an experience we'll never forget. From start to finish, Captain Holger and his crew went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was nothing short of amazing. Firstly, Captain Holger's professionalism and expertise were evident right from the moment we stepped aboard. He greeted us with a warm welcome and a genuine enthusiasm that set the tone for the entire voyage. His knowledge of the boat and the surrounding waters made us feel safe and secure throughout the trip. One of the highlights of our experience was Captain Holger's flexibility and accommodation of our requests. I had specific ideas in mind for the course we wanted to take, and Captain Holger was more than willing to work with us to make it happen. He listened attentively to our preferences and tailored the journey to suit our desires, ensuring that every moment was tailored to perfection. The crew on the Kawau Isle also deserves praise for their exceptional service. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. My fiance and I were gifted a voucher for The Riverhead Ferry as a Christmas present and used it recently. There was a mix-up as I had booked on the website to depart from Birkenhead Ferry Terminal when redeeming the vouchers. The ferry was not there at the designated time, so I called the number provided, and the captain explained that they do not pick up from this location unless by prior arrangement / for much larger groups. He let us know they could collect us at Beach Haven Wharf instead, so we went there and awaited collection. Despite this error, the experience was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. It was a beautiful trip, departing on a sunny afternoon and returning in the evening. It meant we were able to look at the Christmas lights some houses had up in various places. There was great music on board and a decent selection of drinks as well....

Amazing experience with wonderful attentive staff! Myself and 17 friends took the Riverhead ferry over to the Riverhead Inn for dinner to celebrate my friend’s 30th birthday on Saturday 21st March.. just before lockdown began. We had the best experience and felt very safe ..extra measures were taken including a reduced service and readily available alcohol gel in light of the circumstances. This did not dampen the experience however. The views on both the journey there and back were beautiful and the staff bent over backwards to assist us, including dimming the lights and putting on fairy lights for the night cruise back and also allowing us to play our own music through the speakers.
