This hidden gem offers the best massage I’ve had anywhere in my life! Fausto, the elderly blind massage therapist, is a healer with a sixth sense for detecting the exact spots that need work. His massage is his own unique style based on shiatsu, but no other shiatsu massage I’ve experienced can compare. I’ve been suffering for half my life with chronic back pain and have a good chiropractor at home who can relieve the pain, but after a few sessions with Fausto my back feels better than ever. I realize this review is pretty superlative, but it’s true.

Fausto charges less for massage than any of the many inexpensive massage places on White Beach, the quality of which can’t be put in the same category. Sometimes I wish he charged more so it would we easier to get an appointment. As hidden as his shop is (tucked inside a kite boarding school without even a sign this year), he is always busy and often fully booked except a couple days in advance. The phone number rarely works so you have to go in person to find out if he’s free or make an appointment. He’s not hard to find though - just ask anyone on the kite beach about the blind masseuse and they’ll point you in the right direction. My experiences with Fausto‘s Health Care Service are incredibly good! I absolutely agree with the person here who wrote that she didn’t know somebody better to help her than Fausto! It were the best massages/treatments I had in my life! What is important to mention is: He‘s performing Japanese SHIATSU technic, including acupressure and a special kind of stretching the whole body. Normally he does not use oil and there are towels between his hands and your body to reduce friction. I came to him because I had a terrible blockage (impingement) in my shoulder and already after the first session it became much more movable again. My experience is that it’s very important to explain about your problems so you receive better treatment. Fausto understood my problem and took more energy into this area of my body. Also the treatment was much longer than in other places. I was almost treated 1,5hrs every time. Don’t go to the hundreds of massage offers in Boracay town - they are minimum the same price (it is 600php) and absolutely not comparable with what you receive from Fausto!
