Read moreOk the food is amazing, this is a must here in Boracay! Yes, the hype is real, we ordered the Siopao, Beef Dumplings, Chicken Gyoza, Siomai, Chicken Noodle, Pork and Egpplant Noodles, Solo and Shared Skewers.
Siomai was succulent and has an umami flavor (if you have seafood allergy don't order this it has shrimp!), the Beef Dumplings is seasoned well, the Chicken Gyoza is yummy and had a good burst of flavor. The skewers overall is a good starter, charisu is soft and flavorful while the Tofu Mustard is a surprise hit!
The Chicken Noodle is my absolute favorite! The flavors are light, noodles is cooked al dente and the soup base has a salty balanced with umami flavors. Overall the food is amazing, everything was made with love.
Atmosphere wise the place is small so large groups may have a hard time fitting in, max seating may be around 15 inside and 7 outside. Also this is not airconditioned so if its yoo hot for you I suggest you get what you want as take out.
If ever you are in boracay, come visit this place!...
Read moreWas looking for something that is not rice but just as filling after a long day of rampa at Boracay’s hip and happening whitebeach I came across this striking hole-in-the-wall yet surprisingly appealing and refreshing food jaunt along Boracay’s main drag right beside Hennan Crystal Sand mainroad entrance. BunBun! and they served just exactly that, Bao buns in tangy asian flavors. My favorite is Kalbi Beef though Char Siu Pork is certainly not far behind. Chicken Satay is also good.I prefer them served in big enough buns with generous fillings of meats and veggies which can be one full meal na for me. Pandan rice topping with the same flavors is also on the menu. So rice or no rice, Bun Bun Boracay is the place to be. You know what they say, I’m down with fancy restaurants but I’m happiest in small food joints with small nibbles but big flavors. And yes, here, no need to rob a bank to eat...
