I recently visited the establishment and would like to provide some friendly feedback on my experience. While I appreciate the effort put into crafting visually appealing dishes, I found that the taste fell short of my expectations.
Firstly, the burger itself looked enticing, but the flavor was rather ordinary. I believe this may be due to the choice of ingredients used. Instead of using lettuce, cabbage was used in the burger, which resulted in a different taste. I understand that sourcing certain ingredients can be challenging, and it seems you opted for locally sourced vegetables. However, I personally feel that lettuce would have complemented the burger better.
Additionally, the thinly sliced tomatoes, three in total, didn't add much to the overall taste. Considering I ordered the most expensive burger item on your menu, I expected a higher value for the price. However, the experience left me feeling that the burger didn't quite meet the expectations associated with its cost. Moreover, the calamansi juice I had was bland, lacking the expected refreshing and tangy flavor.
On the matter of billing, I noticed a small discrepancy which I believe could be improved. Although my total bill, including the burger, calamansi juice, and service charge, came to P610.50, I received an invoice rounding it off to P611. I respectfully suggest charging customers the exact price without rounding, as it should not be the customer's responsibility to bear any discrepancies beyond the actual food cost.
In addition, I'd like to share my observations regarding the service I received during my visit. The service crew did not come across as warm or friendly, as they rarely smiled and their tone while taking orders sounded somewhat condescending. To enhance customer satisfaction, I recommend considering customer service training programs such as Ritz-Carlton's, which focus on cultivating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Moreover, it was disappointing that the service crew did not possess sufficient knowledge about the products on offer. When I inquired about the type of bun used, whether it was a brioche bun or a regular bun, they were unable to provide the requested information. It would be beneficial to ensure that your staff is well-informed about your menu to offer customers a more engaging dining experience.
Lastly, I'd like to mention that the fork provided to me was in poor condition, appearing crooked and well-worn. Small details like the quality of utensils can leave a lasting impression on patrons and should be consistently maintained to guarantee a satisfactory dining experience.
To conclude, I believe there are other establishments on the island that offer burgers with higher quality ingredients and better value for money. While I understand that taste preferences may vary, I wanted to provide my constructive feedback to help you improve and continue to thrive in this competitive industry.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope you find my feedback valuable and consider it in your future endeavors. I wish you all the best in providing memorable dining experiences to...
Read moreWe’ve eaten allot of smash burgers all around the world. I also make smash burgers at home. They smash them perfectly thin with a nice sear on the beef. The bun was soft & fresh and held up very well. We did have a couple complaints beyond their great execution of a good smash burger. I’m not a fan of garlic buttered hamburger buns. I’m pretty sure that was the dominant taste of this burger, along with the odd tasting special sauce. These 2 issues are obviously a personal taste. The dominant taste of these 2 ingredients took away the taste of the beef and cheese. We also ordered a chicken burger. It’s rare in the Philippines to find a chicken burger using chicken breast….usually it’s chicken thighs. The chicken burger was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was the favourite of the meal. The only other issue was the portion size of the fries. Maybe it’s because we are from the west where fries are given in larger portions. We would call those fries a garnish, not a side. Decide for yourself based on the...
Read moreBack Beach Burger is a well-regarded burger joint in Boracay that has gained a reputation for serving some of the best burgers on the island.
High-Quality, Juicy Burgers: The main draw is the burgers themselves. They are known for their thick, juicy patties made from high-quality beef. The burgers are often described as flavorful and well-cooked.
Simple but Delicious: The menu focuses on classic burger combinations, and they do them exceptionally well. This "less is more" approach is appreciated by those who value a good, solid burger without unnecessary frills.
Chill Atmosphere: While it's no longer on the "back beach" of Diniwid, the new location in D'Mall is also known for having a cool and relaxed vibe. It’s a great place to grab a casual meal.
Downside: As with many things on Boracay, the prices are a bit higher than what you might find on the mainland, but most reviews agree the quality justifies the cost.
Overall, if you're craving a satisfying, classic burger while in Boracay, Back Beach Burger is a...
