Beach Bites Bistro — Restaurant in Malay

It was our first meal since arriving in the morning and we walked over for lunch as it was next door to the next door of where we were staying!

I ordered a pork sisig as I have been in love with the dish, and possibly the only dish I like in Philippine cuisine (sorry it’s just either too salty or too sweet). It came with the egg and after mixing all, it was delicious indeed! Quite gooey I wish the hot plate would sizzle longer. It wasn’t very sizzly. Lots of fat skin and fatty mixed in with the lean meat which I absolutely love. The fattys are the part that make the dish good. I was wondering if they’d put any innards tho? I would’ve hoped for more intestine, liver bits mixed in but don’t think I saw any. The overall color of the dish look light so I guess it did not have the innards. Bummer.

My husband said the corned beef was pretty good!

Oh both mains need to order rice on the side. I picked plain and my husband paired his corned beef with garlic rice and said was delicious.

My wife and I are staying next door at Discovery and decided to try something different for dinner so we went to Beach Bites. Big mistake! Not only did they spill some of our blazing hot sinigang on both of us when it was being served, burning both of our skin but then the caldereta came covered in cheese. My wife doesn't eat cheese and I'm very allergic to dairy. We told them to take it back. When we got our bill both items were still on it. They told us since it had been served we had to pay for it. We told them we weren't going to pay for something we didn't even touch and weren't told had cheese to begin with. After some sarcastic discussion amongst themselves they took it off the bill. Fantastic spot for breakfast, lunch, merienda and dinner! This place has to be the best kept secret in boracay beach. My favorite is the Crispy Pork kare kare, pork sinigang and all their pizzas! My family eaten here several times whenever we’re in boracay and It just keeps getting better and we never been disappointed.. All servers were attentive especially Ton-ton, Dexter and Resty. They were friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their recommendations were spot on, and they really made our dining experience special. We will definitely be coming back and I would highly recommend for anybody looking for a good meal...
