Jazz Rock Cafe — Restaurant in Krakow

So, the club downstairs itself is very nice. Cheap entry (10 zl, about 2.50€) cool alternative music and cool atmosphere. If you want to get tipsy just go for beers and shots, don't bother getting cocktails as they must be very watered down since after drinking 4 or 5 each we were super sober. The staff was also nice but I did have one bad experience. Me and my friend were standing near the stairs on the opposite side of the room, near the dj. The barista threw an ice cube from the opposite side towards the dj. The thing is, I just noticed something flying about 4 cm right from my face, my hair moved with the air, then I noticed what it was. It is very irresponsible, if it hit my face just a few centimeters more right It could have hit my right eye. I got lucky , it could have gone terribly bad but I'm astonished as how stupid one can be to even think about doing something so dangerous, disregarding the safety of customers and their own job amd reputation of the place. We had a great night until we witnessed the security brutally CS gas another customer and 30 odd other bystanders including ourselves. My girlfriend was on the floor having a coughing fit as we tried to escape the gas. The person who was attacked by the security had already left the establishment and had already visibly been beaten. The guard in question point blank CS gassed him and his girlfriend as members of the public screamed and tried to escape the fumes. We have been coughing all night and our clothes are contaminated. We were about 30 ft away from the assault at the time. Those that were closer were visibly injured. It was like a war scene. This guard shouldn't be in any position of power and I highly recommend you avoid the place if you're visiting Krakow. Dropped in here twice over the weekend and the atmosphere was welcoming.

The staff working the entry on both Friday and Saturday night were friendly and helpful. We had to check a coat on Saturday night and had no difficulties.

There is a smoking side and a non-smoking side and the service from both bars was great.

The bartender on the larger side made some excellent drinks and was a master at his craft!

Friday night was an afterparty for Die Antwoord and Saturday was a little more busy but not our style, it was still a good time.

Wish we could have had the same service at the next place we went to.
