Usta Turkish Kebap & Doner — Restaurant in Doha

I stopped by Usta Turkish Kebap & Doner for a late lunch after a four-hour sightseeing tour. I actually spotted it while on the tour bus and decided to check it out after the tour. I ordered a spicy Kebab wrap with a side of hummus, and for dessert, I had a baklava with vanilla ice cream sandwiched in the middle.

The dessert experience was definitely the highlight. The waiter added a fun twist by doing a little "magic trick" with my food – he flattened the ice cream next to the baklava with a fork and knife, then cut the baklava in half and put the ice cream in the middle, creating a delicious sandwich. It reminded me of the Salt Bae, and it definitely added a bit of entertainment to my meal.

The service was very professional and straight to the point. The food was tasty – the kebab meat was thinly sliced and flavorful.

Our experience in your souq wakif restaurant wasn’t pleasant at all, Your supervisor or in charge of the waiters there Have spoke to us with a rude way and his speech was aggressive and threatening. I don’t think this should be the manners of someone who works in customer service industry. Because we asked for a table of 5 and we were waiting and then we were asked to sit in a table for 3 and when the big table got free instead of transferring us there, they have put someone sitting alone! I’ve visited this restaurant several times in the past and always appreciated the experience, but unfortunately, my recent visit was extremely disappointing. The overall quality has noticeably declined, from the food to the service and even the cleanliness.

The food served was far below expectations, poorly prepared and not at all what we had ordered. To make things worse, the incorrect items were still included in the bill. The service was equally frustrating; the staff seemed disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. The waiting time for food was unnecessarily long, and the general cleanliness of the place left a lot to be desired.
