Abu Ayoub Restaurant مطعم ابو ايوب — Restaurant in Doha

To be honest, I went in by mistake, thinking it was the Lebanese restaurant next door, which sounded a bit like at the beginning of the restaurant's name. However, I like Syrian food, especially Syrian-style # shawarma, so I didn't change my mind after I found it different restaurant I had entered.

There may be some young staff in the restaurant who are good at IT, the way the menu is displayed on a tablet or through a QR code, and directing customers' mobile phones to their WiFi through a QR code... there is already a lot of technology to set up and run well. Looking back, it is indeed a world apart.

As expected, the #shawarma with thin and crispy bread was exactly my favourite. I ordered more, the hummus for the tabbouleh salad, as I was very pleased with the shawarma sandwich.

All around great experience for evening meals. We ate here twice and had a selection of hot and cold appetizers and main courses, all of which were very good. The theme is Syrian. Fresh from the oven Arabic breads were a treat. The wait staff were very professional but friendly and attended to us but were not in the way. There is indoor and outdoor seating and we chose outdoors due to the pleasant weather, around 28 C. Nice music was played and not too loud as to distract but added some ambiance.
