Slow service. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come take our order. Then another 20 minutes to get the order which was 1 tea pot and 1 carrot juice! They serve you tea in a pot with 1 tea cup, when we asked the waiter to bring us another empty cup to share the tea, he said it’s not allowed by restaurant management and that we should order another whole tea pot despite that tea is enough for 2 cups.
Also, prices are extremely high for the items they serve. One more thing, tea was cold and they took it back to change it or probably they just reheated it. It took them another 15 minutes to do that.
I had a guest visiting Qatar for the first time, when the guest asked for the wifi password, they kept telling him to wait for a while to get it from inside, but they never did. When we left, we told the girl waiter “thanks for not bringing the wifi password despite that we asked 3 times”. She replied that she thought someone else provided it.
Wouldn’t visit them again nor pay that...
Read moreAfter a long day at work, we went to Chai Halib restaurant for dinner.
To be honest, this was the worst restaurant experience of my life.
We found a hair in our dish and asked the waiter about it. He took the dish without saying anything and left. Fortunately, I took a picture of it before he did. After 10 minutes, we asked what was happening, and the supervisor came over and asked what the issue was. We explained about the hair, and he said the kitchen was preparing a new dish for us.
We were surprised because we didn't ask for a replacement; we were expecting at least an apology. Instead, the supervisor insisted this had never happened before and seemed dismissive of our concerns.
I didn't appreciate their attitude towards customer service, so we asked for the bill and canceled the new dish.
There are countless better restaurants in Qatar, especially in Souq Waqif, where you can find the best Arabic food. This restaurant is definitely not...
Read moreThis nice cafe in Doha is located in a quiet street in the popular Wakif Souq, so in case you’re hungry or need a refreshing break out of Doha’s scorching midday sun, this place could be the right one for you. The homemade peach tea with peach slices was one of the best ones I have ever tried. It truly tasted homemade and it was a pity to finish it. My friend’s rose cafe was very original and perfectly balanced in the rose and coffee taste - something suggested the research of balanced taste on behalf of staff. I also tried something new : an egg roll with saffron-infused little noodles. It wasn’t too sweet, so it gave me the protein I needed. The rose petals and pistachio touch added that extra touch that totally fits with the souq vibes. The place was fully air conditioned and we were very happy to...
