A note to gluten free people/celiacs: the sign outside may lead you to believe this is an entirely gluten free shop. It is not. There are several gluten free options, packaged separately and safely away from the other treats. But don’t make the same mistake I NEARLY made and just choose anything!

In the end I got an ‘Cortadillo de cabello de angel’ a traditional Spanish sweet pastry, a cortadillo, filled with a sweet, syrupy jam made from pumpkin pulp, known as "cabello de ángel" (angel's hair). It was small but delightful. I also got some crunchy almonds biscuits.

Wow, super cute and friendly (english-speaking!) lady. Great selection and awesome looking sweets, cakes, cookies. Small shop, no place to sit, but plenty of seats outside, benches on busy pedestrian street, lots of life to watch.
