Revisited July 2025: It was as crowded here as ever before. Hard to get standing space but eventually got a table with the help of the kind waiters there. Ordered rabo the toro, crystal shrimp, artichokes, shrimp fritter, and chicharrones. The ox tail come out well. Soft, tender and a decent amount of meat for what it is. I was very disappointed with the crystal shrimp this time. The shrimps were over fried, even the egg was overcooked! That is a hard one to mess up. Artichokes was tough and not great. Much of it was too fibrous to eat. The chicharrones were decent, nicely flavored. Not sure what happened with the kitchen but hope next visit will be better.

Nov 2024: The food here is just delicious! It gets crowded with locals and the staffs don't speak English. Many of the ingredients are clearly displayed on the counter. Point and order. Once you get your order in, you will be in for a treat! Everything is fresh and tastes amazing, especially the seafood. We went 2 days on a row and ordered the squid, eggs with shrimps, fish eggs and scallops. My favorite was the calamari and crysal shrimp with eggs. Price are reasonable. Table seating is near impossible at peak meal time. Expect to hang out by...

The food was great, the atmosphere was great. The chopitos we're delicious. The cañas were cold. The camareros are very funny and very on point.

I would say it is one of the more authentic bars in Jerez de La Frontera. They have very cool decorations. It's right on the corner. They have lots of cool bill fighting photos and paraphernalia on he walls. It is a true taste of Spain. It's right on he corner so you can have a quick smoke outside and see all of your buddies. We were in town for a wedding and saw some family we hadn't seen in a while. Overall a very good experience.

I look forward to going back when I return to Jerez de la frontera. Maybe next time with Antonio de la puerta!!!!! Definitely a spot to visit. The food was very good. Did I mention to order the...

I went to this restaurant for lunch. The food was good but not excellent. The downside was the service. The waiters gossip about customers in front of them or criticize their choices. For example: I'm vegetarian and wanted to make sure that salmorejo didn't contain meat (in some places in Seville they serve it with ham). The waiter took my order and then passed it to a colleague, who laughed at my question and snorted, saying "another vegetarian." I called the waiter back and told him I'm a vegetarian and that, unfortunately for them, I also understand Spanish, so my question was legitimate. I also told him that I didn't think their behavior was respectful. He left without even apologizing. I don't recommend you this place. The price is excessive for the quality. There are better...

There are better tapas in Jerez.

The fist night in town we visited this tapas bar around 22:00. It was busy but we managed to get a table relatively quick. We had grilled whole squid in garlic, grilled tuna, potatoe salad, XL chicken skewer and some beers. The squid was super fresh and the potatoe salad was a different variation than westerners are used to, we both really liked it ! Service was fast and the bar tender was patient with my attempt to order in broken Spanish. We liked it so much we went back a second night and ordered much of the same and more. I wish I asked his name but the guy behind the bar tending to us was really entertaining and made us feel welcome (see picture of super cool dude carving up jamon iberico like a boss) Lots of locals and tourists like us and we felt right at home. Highly recommended!
