Classic Business Hotel in Old town
We were actually quite surprised to find such a hotel with all the fittings and feel of a typical business hotel in the heart of old town which usually dont have such options. Spent only one night here, but it served its purpose of allowing us to explore tll the attractions and points of interest very easily without having to walk too far
LOCATION: Excellent location in the heart of old town
DINE + DRINK: Didnt have the chance to check the bar or restaurant
ROOM: We stayed in 204, so this review is based on that; VIEW: sweet view of the street; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Good cosmetics
FACILITIES: The so called Gym was an absolute joke! Dont even bother going up to the terrace to check it out and swimming pool is even more comical as it is more of a of mini kiddies pool
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of.
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Good sized Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in very...
Read moreThis hotel has a "4 Star" set up and design, but it has some issues. PLUSES: The location is great, especially if you want parking and to be central. The pool is an excellent way to escape the heat mid-day and is really nice but (though small with only 4-6 lounge chairs). MINUSES: we had the Junior Suite (RM 310) because we wanted the very hard to find, actual King Size bed (not twins pushed together), but the mattress was hard as a rock and gave me shoulder pain sleeping on it. The air conditioner in the bedroom stated to make the room smell of rotten eggs. Manager had basically no solution for us except to sleep through it until the engineers came in the next day (no room to move us to, no portable fans to move the HOT night air - only some plug in "air fresheners", which were equally horrible). There is no coffee in the room (only one machine in the lobby, that you have to pay to use - is that 4 Star service?) Lastly, there was only one person running the desk at any one time (yet the hotel had no rooms to move us to, so they were sold out). Those two people were nice, but really, is THAT 4...
