As a non-EU citizen traveling from Belgium to Spain for verification, I was thoroughly impressed with the services provided by the Embassy of Sweden in Madrid.

Language Support Despite initial concerns about potential language barriers, the embassy staff communicated fluently in English, which greatly facilitated the process.

Efficiency The entire procedure was swift and well-organized, reflecting the embassy's commitment to efficiency.

Akta! If you need a passport renewed at the Swedish Embassy in Madrid then plan well in advance. Current waiting time (at Nov. 2024) to get an appointment is about 3 months (with Christmas and embassy renovations causing extra delay).

There are no available appointments until February 2025 and we must log in to the Swedenabroad website everyday to check when those appointments are made available. If you are going home to Sweden for holidays then book an appointment at the police station to renew your pass or ID and then it can be sent to Spain for you to collect at the consulate or embassy. The lovely staff will help...

Todo bien, suelen ser muy amables, pero son poco "ágiles" en el atendimiento. En mi opinión es propio de mi nacionalidad, todo con mucha calma, demasiada diría yo.Dan prioridades a las llamadas que atender a la ventanilla. Ahora con el Covid el aforo está limitado y tienes que esperar en la calle, si llueve, te recomiendo que lleves paraguas si no te vas a calar ya que no tienes como resguardarte. Una vez dentro es como estar en cualquier administración Sueca, se respira calma. Tablón de anuncios, alguna revista, puzzle para niños etc. He echado de menos algún periódico Sueco que si había la última vez. , Nota: Es curioso...pero echo de menos el olor a café, es muy propio., ----+++++---------------+++++----------+++++- Allting bara bra, de är vanligtvis mycket vänliga, men de är inte särskilt "smidiga" i sin tjänst. Enligt min mening är det typiskt för min nationalitet, allt mycket lugnt, jag skulle säga för mycket, de prioriterar samtalen att svara på fönstret. Nu med Covid är kapaciteten begränsad och du måste vänta på gatan, om det regnar, rekommenderar jag att du tar med ett paraply om du inte ska bli våt eftersom du inte har något sätt att skydda dig själv. Väl inne är det som att vara i någon svensk administration, andas lugn. Anslagstavla, lite tidskrift, pussel för barn etc. Jag har saknat någon svensk tidning att om det var sista gången.

Obs: Det är roligt ... men jag saknar lukten av kaffe, den är...
