VIANDAS — Local services in Pamplona

Just arrived in Pamplona and saw the sign saying they sell the best rolls. Was super hungry after finishing a leg of the Camino and grabbed a roll, with mwat and cheese and a beer set for 9 euro. Biting into the roll was horrible. Completely dry and stale with no flavour. Tasted like day old bread. Didn't even notice the fillings!

So returned to the shop and with Google Translate and politely explained the issue and asked for a fresh one with a little more oil so it wasn't so dry. Guy inside begrudgingly replaced the old roll with a new one, which basically tasted the same. Should have just asked for a refund but I didn't...

Bocadillo de jamón bastante malo. El pan normal y el jamón reseco y con mucho tocino. Creemos que no nos dieron ninguno de los que tenían expuestos, tenían mejor pinta que los que nos dieron.

Uno de los bocadillos fue con queso. También mala decisión. Queso demasiado fuerte, menos mal que el jamón no estaba bueno, sino el queso lo habría arruinado. Viendo la calidad de lo que dan, me parece que el queso fuerte es para enmascarar el sabor. Y no digo que el queso sea malo, me gusta el queso fuerte, pero ese queso no lo veo para combinar con jamón.

Hemos estado en algún otro viandas de Salamanca (en otra ciudad) y los bocadillos estuvieron muy buenos. Tanto que repetimos varias veces.

Este en concreto, no lo recomiendo bajo ningún concepto. ¿De verdad se creen que la gente no se da cuenta?

Everything is great quality, BUT they leave their bocadillos stacked on an open plate (beautifully!) and if your unlucky enough to have gotten ones that have sat on the top awhile, the top half of the bread is STALE! Ask for one below...
