We were a group of four looking to walking a Camino for the first time ever, so were a bit apprehensive about how to go about things. We knew we did not want to pack our belongings or have to book our own accommodations (not knowing the language and what places were really like). Then we came across Andaspain and our search was complete. They were the first company to respond to our enquiries and questions about the Camino; and they continued to always respond along our journey if we needed them. Kate was wonderful to work with, and once she knew the experience we wanted, the price range, etc, she set it all up for us. Everything went smoothly—our hotels were all clean, comfortable, friendly and so quaint. Our luggage was always there—- just once it wasn’t, but Kate was on it and it was taken care of immediately…. So it did not seem like a hiccup at all. You could tell that Kate personally knew all the hotels and their staff, and she matched them to our needs. If we choose to do another walk in the future, we would certainly use Andaspain’s services and/or recommend them to others! Thank you Kate for setting us up for an amazing experience by not having to worry about details of accommodations and or/luggage. For new travellers/walkers we recommend using Andaspain to pre book your trip because we came across many a weary pilgrim who had to keep on walking another mile (or five) because they had no rooms available in a town (and the popularity of the Camino is growing, making it busier) . Plus, having the majority of your luggage moved for you, means you only have to carry a light backpack with trail necessities. Each one of us in our group were so VERY grateful for two less things to worry about, and this made our walk that much MORE enjoyable! Sincerely, The Nadon’s and...
Read moreOn two Camino’s I enlisted the help of AndaspainWalkingAdventures to prepare self guided help in making these Camino’s just right. The first was in 2015 where I walked from SJPP to Santiago alone. Of course you are never alone on the Camino. Since my first experience was so fabulous, I reached out again in 2018 to walk the Portugues Caminho. This time with a friend beginning in Porto and walking to Santiago. To make it an easier walk, for both of these journeys, I used the service to move a larger bag ahead and also stayed in hotels and pensions which gave me the privacy with a private bath and bedroom. AndaspainWalkingAdventures came through in so many ways, from preparing a package complete with shell, maps, luggage tags and complete itinerary. From the very moment I opened the package, I felt at ease. Last year walking with a friend was so nice however as great as that was, I would not have done the Frances any differently. Both were fabulous experiences guided by a great leadership team. Kate especially made this experience wonderful and she provided her contact information and a few days we communicated via WhatsApp which proved to be a wonderful connection. Her advice for where to get a SimCard in the middle of Pamplona was just what I needed. I know there are many companies that serve pilgrims but AndaspainWalkingAdventures gets my endorsement...
Read moreI've had the joy of walking with this fabulous, boutique, client-oriented, super organized yet chill walking tour company two times. First, I walked the last 111km into Santiago de Compostela on the birthday of St. James. That time of year is notoriously crowded yet somehow our guide, Vanessa, got us on and off The Way effortlessly. We stayed in local, non-touristy villas and casa rurales, ate delicious gourmet picnics (provided by AndaSpain) and dined in small bistros with no wait. We felt like family wherever we went and royalty all at the same time. For the feast day, we had reserved dinner in a hotel on the plaza and plaza side seats for the fireworks and light show when others had to sit in the plaza for hours to get the view we had, with no dinner. Did I say royalty? The second experience was equal to surpassing the first. They miss no detail. And, their tours are so reasonably priced for the value. Truly, if you are thinking of a walking tour in Spain, self-guided, private or group Andaspain is the place to call. I cannot recommend them more highly. Kate, Vanessa, and Ashleigh are my Camino heroes. My parents are planning a walk this fall with Andaspain. I say that to say I trust them with the most precious things ever, my family. Call Andaspain, I promise you'll be so...
