I always try to make time for this salon whenever I’m in Bangkok. Getting an appointment isn’t easy — they’ll often tell you they’re fully booked for the next couple of weeks — but if you’re persistent, they usually find a way to fit you in. I don’t necessarily recommend relying on last-minute luck, but I’ve reached out multiple times on last second notice and they’ve always somehow come through.
I’ve seen both Emma and Esther, and they are absolutely top of the line, cream of the crop — different personal styles but the same level of skill, confidence, and sharp intuition. You get the feeling that they’re not just experienced stylists — they’re miles ahead of the rest. And while I’ve only seen these two, something makes me believe that the whole team is at that level. There’s an atmosphere here that feels more elevated, and it’s clear the owner has a very specific standard — they only want the absolute best working here.
It makes sense when you realize this place also functions as a teaching academy. That dual role shows in the work: you’re not just getting someone who knows how to style hair, you’re getting someone who probably teaches others how to do it.
I originally came here looking for a perm, but because my hair’s been damaged by repeated treatments, they refused — kindly, but firmly. And that alone tells you everything about their integrity. They could’ve taken my money and done what I asked (like every other place), but instead they prioritized the health of my hair. That kind of honesty is rare.
I usually don’t look to salons for pure technical cutting. Salon stylists tend to be more focused on styling and perm work. But honestly, the haircuts I’ve gotten here have been truly excellent. Even when I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, Emma and Esther stepped up, took responsibility, and delivered something deliberate and flattering. They know what they’re doing and it shows.
If these stylists were working in my hometown, they’d easily be charging luxury-tier prices — and people would happily pay. What makes this place special is that you get that same elite-level treatment without the inflated price tag.
The salon itself is beautiful, and they offer all the nice extras — drinks, a great atmosphere, all of that. I’m just not the type who cares about those things. To me, what matters is the skill of the person holding the scissors and the haircut I'll be going home with — and at this place, the ability behind the chair matches or exceeds the best you’ll find anywhere.
It still stings a bit that I haven’t been able to get a perm here yet — if their cuts are this good, I can only imagine how next-level their perms must be. But even just from a haircut perspective, this place sets a standard I haven’t seen...
Read moreI am in BKK for the holidays but come here very often and I needed a haircut. I looked on google and found the Special by Hajin Salon near my hotel on google but they were fully booked so they recommended me to call the Green Pasture by Hajin only 15 minute bike ride. I got here 10 mins before my appointment time and Jennie was able to take me. I like the fact that I had one of the first appointments since it was quiet and not rushed. Jennie was really nice and spoke English so I was able to show some photos of the hair cut I would like. I was more particular about my bangs and she did an amazing job! She suggested a few things for my trim which made me confident on her knowing what looks good on people. Jennie was kind enough to curl my hair at the end to have it set lovely for the rest of my day. Two small negatives was the girl who washed my hair was new (really nice tho!) and I would prefer an apron on before I had my hair washed so the water wouldn’t drip down my back. One suggestion for the salon, it would be nice to have some product in my hair to protect heat damage before blow dry and styling. For a wash, cut, and blow dry was 700 baht which was good quality for the price. I will...
Read moreService was phenomenal: I sent them a DM on IG and was able to book an appointment 2 days later. My appointment took longer than expected and they stayed after closing to get it done. Only the front desk lady spoke some English so there was a lot of translating between the hair colorist, me, & front desk. They offer drinks & cookies while you wait. Colorist even warned me that my color would stain towels & pillowcases (she was right) and tried to help me in any way she could. Angel.
Bleach+Color: They bleached my hair only once to get it blonde, which is rare because usually it takes several rounds. The first dye job ended up too bright so they did it again but darker. Even took the time to style it even though they were already closed.
Price: I'm from a big US city but I still felt like this salon charged $$$$. 700 baht for a cut (ok), 3000 baht for bleaching (ok), but 4500 baht to color (they said it included bleaching but they already charged me for bleaching?). The sign outside says 2500+ so I wasn't expecting nearly double that. Maybe I should've clarified but I was tired and over it lol would definitely return to bleach my Asian hair if I'm...
