Booked an appointment for a blow dry and wash, and this is not a place for any curly girlies. The staff has clearly never worked with thick or curly hair before.
As I entered and was taken to a seat, multiple stylists walked out to look or see my hair as if I was a specialty object displaying something that they had never seen before. I know curly hair is not very common in Thailand, but I have previously been to salons that have still done an incredible job.
The lady at the check-in counter brings a card to tell me I have « extra long hair » even thought my hair is shoulder length and that the blow dry will be 1000 baht and 300 for a curl dry. She then asks if I want any styling and initially I opt for a curling iron which is an additional 300. Landing me at 1600 for a wash and blow dry.
Fast forward, they assign a stylist to me who takes me to a wash, does 2 washes and is straight up scratching my scalp aggressively.
We then return to the seat and I say I would like to only curl dry without the iron so I don’t want to pay the additional 300 baht for styling. Then, I am assigned a second stylist as they start to blow dry my hair. It becomes quickly apparent that one of them is extremely junior and one is senior which also shows in my hair as they split up the sides they worked on.
I have obvious layers in my hair that both the stylists kept getting stuck in the round brush and literally knotting my hair and then yanking the brush out. It is unbelievable how they charge such high prices because of the “kind of hair I have” but they’ll assign me the most inexperienced stylist who has never worked with such hair. Daylight robbery.
They then finish my service, my hair looks so poofy, frizzy and undone. I go to checkout and the lady says it’s 1600 baht and tells me because my hair is “difficult.” I’m not sure if they’ve ever heard of customer service or training for their staff members because they charge crazy prices for the worst service ever.
Please do yourself a favor and never go here. There’s other salons at the mall that do a much better job. Check them...
Read moreDon’t go to this saloon. I went for a hair cut. They suggested a hair treatment and I asked for more information about the treatment. They said they will inform me while washing my hair. They just shampooed and put hair cream and two drops of serum. After that, I asked when you will give information about the treatment and they it was my treatment. I was shocked because haircut is including cutting, styling and washing so I asked what you did differently they said they put 2 drops of shine oil serum and they were asking 1900 baht for that. Even the full of bottle itself wasn’t that much. I was shocked and i tried to explain that i got zero information about it.They keep trying to take money for that two drops of serum and they even told me that they just take 1900 baht from me and they will not do haircut for me. I tried to explain them that i came for a haircut and i didn’t ask any hair treatment. You just did something without informing me and you are asking 1900 baht. They kept waiting me there with zero information and i told i don’t want anything and i paid for the hairwash only 700 baht. They have very bad...
Read moreI been to different Moga brunches across Bangkok for the past five years.
My experience was so bad at this Moga IconSiam I would share a few thoughts
My hairdresser is named James
He, hair dresser James, spends minimal time in understanding what I need and ended up partitioning my hair the WRONG way. I usually trust Moga hair designer due to their brand and past quality experience
He, Hair dresser James, kept trying to sell me treatments and product during the services. For a service that cost 1300THB, I was expecting a better experience.
He, Hair dresser James, spends less than 20 minutes trimming and my hair was not neatly groomed like all my past experience at other Moga brunches. Might as well go to a shop that cost THB 300 and get a better trim
Avoid this...
