Çağla's Gift Shop — Local services in Beyoğlu

We stayed at the Selvese Collection hotel in Beyoglu across the street from Cagla's Gift Shop and admired the fabrics from the window for a couple of days before going in. When we finally were able to shop, we quickly realized that the selection of beautiful cotton goods was incredible, with endless patterns and colors and so, so soft to the touch. We picked out some gifts for family and when we went to pay, Nesim explained that he really preferred cash. We didn't have any cash, but needed it for other things anyway, so we took a short walk to an ATM and came back. Nesim greeted us with tea and we sat in his shop and spoke with him for awhile about his business. Despite the language barrier, it was a lovely conversation and ended up being a highlight of our trip; Nesim being the example of the warm and inviting nature of Turkish people. Make sure you take cash! Our only regret was that we didn't buy more!!...

One of my favorite shops in Istanbul. The owners are wonderful people with such hospitality and integrity in business and costumer service. They offer the best fabric and products with such fair prices and great quality. I have been buying from this store every time I come to Istanbul and have never been disappointed. They are one of my favorites in town and I keep going back for the beautiful robes and the organic soaps. Çağla is very professional and her father is very kind. We walked into this shop and were instantly met with such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The man working there was not only incredibly welcoming but also genuinely kind, humble, and honest. He made us feel so comfortable — like we were more than just customers.

All the products in the shop, especially the towels, were handmade and absolutely beautiful — such high quality and clearly crafted with care and love.
