āItalian-American from New York raves about that pizza with the pineapple.ā
Provoli Neapolitan serves up pies with authentic Neapolitan-style crusts and an obligatory flair owed to its location. There are a number of traditional options, such as the Margherita and Funghi, but also a batch of signature pies, which is the direction I opted to go in.
My wife had the Caicos & Peppeāa nod to the classic roman pasta dish, Cacio e Pepe, with mozzarella, parmesan, garlic, black pepper, and baby tomatoesāand I had the Provo Five-0āa nod to the TV show with mozzarella (fresh and smoked), jalapeƱos, cilantro, smoked ham, pineapples (oh yes), and doused in jerk sauce when out of the oven.
Both pizzas were great, but the Provo Five-0 was one of the five best pies Iāve had in my life. Smokey, spicy, and perfectly balanced overall.

Real Neapolitan pizza, ingredients taste like theyāre from Italy. I asked what flour theyāre using and they said caputo which means theyāre importing their own flour from Italy.
My favorite was the spicy pepperoni pizza I asked for it with half cheese I thought it was perfect as the tomato sauce has a lot of character.
The provoli spritz was incredibly tasty. I thought it paired well with the pizza. They use selectivo aperitif in their spritz which is really bright and a bit drier. I thought it was excellent and a must drink...
