I’ve been going to Seafood Hub since they have been in business. Each time I visit the island I make an effort to support. My rating is not 5 stars for several reasons. One the boils are advertised as having 1lb of shrimp and since the beginning the most shrimp I received in a boil is 4 most times 3. I asked the owner about it and he stated that it goes by market price but we all know 3 shrimp is not a pound nor market value. They need to change their menu to reflect that and be more transparent and honest with their customers. The crab is always over cooked. I always have to fight to get the meat out and I’ve been eating crabs since age 6! They either cook in prep and reheat to order or just over cook it while making a fresh order but I never had the crab come right out after opening it. The staff always has an attitude the owners included. If you make a complaint or state you aren’t satisfied their niceness and professionalism goes out the door. I came in for an order one day and someone complained that they waited an extra hour after their food was said to be done to actually get it. They stated they would try another place moving forward and the owners response was “do you think we care about you? Go ahead. You don’t see that we are flourishing.” Yikes where is the apology for making this woman wait so long for her food? Where is the humility? Empathy, understanding? Anything? For me that exchange was the final straw. I don’t like seeing business owners treat their customers like trash. Not only that management is a reflection of the staff. While the actual taste was good and I’ve been supporting for a while which is why I gave 3 stars, there has to be some customer service training set in place. The other things I mentioned above should be amended as well, their clients deserve an ethical experience. While I won’t be back, I encourage you all to go and find out for yourself. Your experience could very well be...
Read moreThe seafood hub was a lot of fun! We were excited for a nice seafood boil type meal with lots of great reviews. Our experience didn’t disappoint.
We ordered two crab boils, one which we upgraded to the choice with mussels as well. One we got the Cajun sauce which wasn’t very spicy and didn’t have the most flavor. The other person doesn’t like spicy so they ordered the signature butter sauce. Both could’ve had a touch more flavor and the Cajun wasn’t very spicy either. Could’ve gone up a little but you have the choose to do so and we didn’t so that’s on us. The bowls come with crab, potatoes, shrimp, mussels(if you upgrade, a piece of corn, and a few sausages. You are served a bib and gloves which is recommend using as it gets messy.
We also ordered the honey garlic glazed wings which were 10/10. So crispy and fresh. Definitely recommend adding.
The flies were somewhat bad as we sat outside and they were definitely attracted to our seafood. Not the companies fault so won’t blame them but we’re somewhat annoying during our meal.
Our bill was about $150 for 2 boils, wings, and 2 beers.
Overall a fun and delicious experience....
Read moreDisappointed in the food and service considering we haven’t had an issue since being on the island (Day 3). When we arrived , we approached the hostess and stated that we had a reservation. She BARELY parted her lips to speak and when she did .. she whispered. Her attitude was also not welcoming … almost like she was tired and ready to go home. Once we were seated and ordered , it took awhile for us to just get some water. We waited 45 minutes and our food eventually came. Very underwhelming. We got two seafood boils and it seemed like they dumped the seafood in a bowl and poured very little sauce on top. Nothing was marinated. The food was NOT flavorful. I also ordered scallops and asked 3 different servers the status of them. The lady that took our order eventually came and said that people rarely order scallops and that they have to thaw out. If you knew this, why let me order them? Why have me wait an hour at this point to tell me this information?
The pictures is what sold us to come and the food is NOT what...
