My husband and I came here for a quick lunch. We were referred by our cab driver. Walking in it’s self seating. On the tables they have bottles of ciroc that are filled with water. I don’t get the reason for the ciroc bottles. The waitress was very pleasant. Brought menus right over. We wanted to order an appetizer but the first thing we requested they were out of. My husband decided to go straight to the main course. I ordered curry shrimp and my husband ordered crack lobster. They didn’t have cracked lobster. Ok no problem his second choice was the grouper. Nope! No grouper. So he ordered the crack chicken with fries. The food took a long while to come out. It was only three people in the restaurant at the time, I was confused what took so long. We weren’t kept up on the progress of our food, no one checked to see if we needed anything else to drink. However our waitress was eating her lunch behind the bar. The food came out, my food looked good but my husbands looked like a kids chicken nugget meal with French fries. We weren’t impressed and his food was not good. My food was good when I added the house hot pepper sauce to it. The caps of the sauce need to be cleaned I was so weirded out touching them so I used a napkin because it was crusty stuff that could of been from many people touching the caps with food on their fingers. Ewwwww!

Nice place to have a lunch or breakfast. Most of the guests were local people. Few tourists. Not so excellent, but simple and local dishes. The staff was friendly and kind. A little bit slow to serve, but it was worth to be wait. If you would like to eat local food, you should visit this place. Tasty, volumy and reasonable.

My husband and I visited here on December 24, 2024 and we were so pleased with the welcoming experience. We were greeted immediately upon entering by a beautiful woman whose name started with a K......I just can't seem to remember it, but we will never forget her, nor her kindness. She made our visit there memorable, and we look forward to visiting Mackey's again when we return to Turks and Caicos. The food is incredibly delicious! We had the barbecued ribs, rice&peas, and plaintains.......we also had baked chicked, rice&peas, and plaintains; it was all mouth watering. The restaurant atmosphere is pleasant, and it is very clean. Though we were staying at an All-Inclusive resort, it was well worth going into town and having food from Mackey's. I recommend anyone who is visiting Turks and Caicos to stop by and enjoy some authentic Caribbean food. To the owner and Ms. K.....thank you for your kindness, it will never be forgotten by your two friends from...

Not sure I get the hype. We went during what should have been peak hours on a Saturday and we were the only people there. Absolutely nothing special about the food, waitress didn’t offer service - we had to ask for everything. She was on the phone when we walked in and she looked at us then ignored us. Didn’t offer water. We had to ask for it. Didn’t come back to check if we were ready to order - we had to call her over. We ordered two different chicken dishes and both came out room temperature. Took my daughter to the bathroom and the lights were all burnt out, and there were no windows for light. There was no soap to wash our hands. It wasn’t even that cheap either. My “crack chicken” was essentially very very thin fried chicken tenders that were mostly...
