We stayed twice in summer 2021. The first stay I'd give a solid 4.5, the second stay was a 2. The first stay we had a beautiful, luxury, high end room, nicely updated, 3rd floor, great views, breezy, wonderful. I spent many hours on the breezy enclosed patio, reclined in a chair and gazing at the ocean. Kitchen was very pretty and clean. Beds were comfortable. Main bathroom was huge. The second stay we had a 1st floor room with little view (so much shrubbery out front blocking the beach view), in an outdated room that had not been changed much since the resort was built. Kitchen drawers couldn't open, doors didn't latch, the blinds were warped and my husband was the only one strong enough to open/close them, the main bathroom had a bright flood light right outside the glass block window and inexplicably the bathroom door has a window in it, so the flood light shined like a spotlight at night on our bed. We had to rig up towels over the door to block the light. Couldn't figure out how to turn on a couple fans, there were dozens of light switches, and some were installed upside down, and the fans were on dimmers which cannot be to code, it was bizarre. The first floor is LOUD and our daughter didn't sleep much in the other bedroom. Windows in it are the old timey slat windows (same with the 3rd floor unit, also miserable, loud, and hot in there). Bed in the main bedroom was terrible and neither of got more than a few hours of sleep each night. The 1st floor enclosed patio got zero breeze, even as a hurricane passed nearby the island , due to how the next door unit juts out further than the patio. It was too hot to be on the patio. Doors to patio fogged up and we couldn't see out them at times. Beyond this, during the 2nd visit we made our covid appt at the resort, yet had to wait in line, outdoors in the sun, for about 40 minutes to get in. About 18 people in line. What's the point of the appt? And resort guests still have to pay! After testing, the tech said we don't get our results until the next day, which was opposite of our previous time - before we walked out with results. We could clearly see that the desk person typing up the results was slooooow and way behind on her work. Well, we were leaving the next day, so waiting until then wasn't going to work. The tech said they might be ready that afternoon, and definitely by 5pm we could check in the lobby. We checked around 3pm, not ready, checked at 6pm, not ready at the lobby. Lobby person told me to go to the Covid office. I went in there, where the same slow desk lady was watching a video on her phone, with a pile of results in front of her still waiting to be entered. Thankfully ours were ready. I then uploaded them into my airline's approval app, only to have my husband get denied. The lady had entered the WRONG TEST DATE onto his test form. Talk about a terrible end to a trip. In addition to these issues, there were weddings there both trips. One wedding DJ was SO LOUD it shook the walls of our room until 10:40pm. We couldn't even talk to each other inside our room. I've never experienced music so loud at a hotel. Positively, the grounds were immaculate and clean. Staff were out day and night keeping it up. Most staff were nice. The pool was great. Beach is gorgeous. The restaurant was ok, breakfast was typically a mess and shockingly slow, but I was impressed with all the wait staff who were busting their butts to serve everyone. It seemed the back of the house staff were the hold up to things in the mornings. Lunch and dinner were much quicker. Free parking, plenty available, great location and walking distance to many things. Free bikes available. I'm not sure if we got a great deal our first trip or a bad deal our second, but I cannot believe i paid the same price for these two rooms. For that alone, we will not be back. I cannot justify the price when I have no control over what type of room I get.

Disappointed by the Experience – Not Worth the Price What can I say… Turks and Caicos is by far the strangest island I’ve visited, and unfortunately, our stay at Ocean Club West didn’t help change that impression. The resort had a few highlights, but overall, it fell short in too many key areas — especially for the price. The Pros: • The room setup was convenient, especially having laundry in the unit. The screened in porch was AMAZINg- Loved that!! • Deborah, one of the staff members, was the absolute highlight of the stay. She was kind, helpful, and professional — truly a gem. • The food at the resort’s restaurant was consistently good, and the service there was one of the few places we felt genuinely welcomed. Prices were also more reasonable compared to other spots on the island. • The beach on the West side was definitely better than the East. The Cons: • Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Housekeeping didn’t come daily, and it was common to see bags of trash or cleaning supplies left outside rooms for extended periods. • At check-in, the front desk staff offered zero information — no map, no explanation about shuttle times, nothing. It felt like they just didn’t care. • The pool was a little dirty — not unusable, but not well maintained either. • A particularly unpleasant experience happened when using the shuttle service between East and West. The driver lost his keys and then mocked us to his coworkers, calling us “privileged” for using the shuttle — all right in front of us. • The lack of customer service wasn’t limited to the resort — we noticed it throughout the island. For a place that charges premium rates, the attitude and service were disappointing. • Also worth noting — the resort had zero atmosphere. No music, no entertainment, nothing to liven up the space during the day. It was dead silent the entire week. Except the last night there was live music around dinner on a Saturday. That was nice . (Finally). Overall, the water and natural beauty of the island were stunning, but everything else was a letdown. This was definitely a “one and done” trip for us. If tourism is important here, some serious improvement in hospitality and respect for guests is needed.

Gonna give this place an average of 3 stars because the service is a problem but the room and location are outstanding. Details as follows: Pros - The room (2 bedroom partial oceanview deluxe suite) was among the biggest I've ever had for the price. The rooms are like an air B&B so the condition and style of your room is highly variable. I stronly recommend you request our specific room, room 735 cause it was so impeccably maintained, fantastic upscale decor, pleasant floors to walk on even barefoot, and fully stocked plates/pans/silverware etc. The beach has silky soft sand and plenty of umbrellas placed out so it was never an issue Con - The main Con was the service; we stayed Tuesday through Saturday, so that means we should have had 3 days of service (wednesday, thursday and friday). They never came wednesday and I asked them to ensure they come around noon on thursday which they did, and then friday again they never showed up. We had to request towels at least so we could shower on those days they didn't come. If there's no service, it really becomes a question of why stay here instead of any other air B&B? Overall I had a good enough experience but I don't think I'll stay at this resort in the future, and definitely would only consider staying if specifically room 735 was available.

I had my wedding at the restaurant at this “resort”. We had over 11 rooms booked, with a total of 36 people staying at OCW. In a word, disappointing. ||First off, we arrived early, around 12pm. I understand check in is at 4pm, but I have never ever waited until that time anywhere, not even the other resorts in Turks! Well, our room wasn’t ready until 350pm. To top it off, 6 of our guests rooms were not ready until AFTER 4 pm! That is outrageous! What a way to start our memorable vacation and that of our guests! Customer service is basically non existent. The reservations dept is horrible. ||It seems as though this resort is severely understaffed. Why wouldn’t rooms be ready a bit earlier especially knowing you have a wedding party coming in? ||To make matters worse, our guests were scattered throughout the resort in different buildings. There was no care or thought put into handling our guests’ rooms in relation to the wedding. I know the reservations dept may say that some guests booked through a 3rd party but that is no excuse.||Housekeeping is ok but the ladies do not speak a word of English so it was hard to communicate at times. My husband forgot his oral B toothbrush and it was never returned or found. 🤔 They worked hard though as did the porters who bring your luggage up and down the stairs. Kendy was excellent! ||The grounds are beautiful and everyone enjoyed the pool.||The beach of course is gorgeous and there are more than enough chairs for everyone. The chairs however and quite outdated and straight out of the 1980s. Every other resort on Grace Bay seems to have newer chairs with nice cushions. ||There is no beach service or room service so don’t expect that. I would not stay there again. We only booked there because of Solana and it offered guests an affordable option. ||I will be writing a separate review of Solana who will soon be under...
