My husband and I did the Case No. 219 tour. Started off ok after picking up our first envelope, however upon arriving at the second pick up point (another pub) it was closed for maintenance (not Bath Escapes fault). We called the "in case of problems" number but it wasn't recognized (!) so we tried the company number on the online invoice receipt. That one wouldn't connect(!) so no choice but to walk all the way back to the start in the hope they had copies of the documents needed. We spent 10 minutes in the empty shop shouting "hello" to try and get some attention. The CCTV showed there wasn't anyone doing an escape room at the time, so no clue what the "host" was doing or where they were. We literally could have robbed the place!!! When the host did finally appear, she seemed quite annoyed and no apology for phone numbers not working. Once we picked up the info, the "tour" got going and we did enjoy it. It was fun and made us look out for things that we'd otherwise have missed. Sadly, the final "clue" required across to a specific place, which was cordoned off (and looked like this was the case daily) so we had to be a bit naughty and squeeze through, hoping security wouldn't see us!! The idea is great, but attention to detail and basic customer service is lacking. A proper conclusion would have been a nice way to end it We paid £45. Not sure it's worth much...
Read moreI visited BathEscape room in Bath back in August, and it completely changed my outlook on escape rooms in the best way possible! I’m not usually one for escape rooms, but this experience was incredibly fun and left me wanting more. We chose one of the more challenging rooms, and while it tested our skills, a few well-timed hints helped us finish right on par. The attention to detail in the room’s design and the puzzles was impressive—it was clear that they were planned meticulously and held to a high standard.
A special mention to Seamus on the staff, who made the experience even better with his friendly and informative approach. He made us feel welcome from the start and offered just the right amount of guidance along the way. The location is also brilliant; close to some lovely pubs for a debrief afterwards. Whether you’re an escape room pro or a first-timer, I highly recommend checking...
Read moreOverpriced and really underwhelming. I'm honestly unsure as to why the detective tour was £65 as there was very little effort needed on their behalf. They just hand you three pieces of paper and a linoleum scroll and tell you to go to 3 pubs for clues which honestly are a front for you to waste money in as you sit down and read the next clue. Also many clues around the town were missing as the game has not been updated to fit the changes to local surroundings.
This tour really fell flat for me, as when we completed the tour and returned to BathEscape there were no workers around. We called multiple times and just ended up posting the pen and clipboard through the letter box... we never even found out if we solved the puzzle correctly or not ... we will be asking...
