I hate complaining, but I have too say this is probably the worst spoons I’ve ever been too. It was a pretty busy Saturday day all three of us ordered food. Mine came and it was burnt too a crisp.. I asked a waitress politely “my panini is really burnt is there any way you could change it please” I wish I had taken a photo because it was practically cremated.. anyway she takes the plate away. (I also didn’t have a chance too eat my chips). 10 minutes goes by my sister and her boyfriend have eaten I’m still sat waiting for my meal…
A waitress walks past and my younger sister called her over. The attitude from her was disgusting she practically looked at us both like we were dirt on her shoe. She brought me out just my panini no chips.. and at this point I was fuming I had waited well over 20 minutes for a replacement, received terrible service and now I’m having practically half a meal. So I just asked for a refund.
She just replied with “right okay then” and took it back smug as ever. She came back to my table and said “go to the bar the managers waiting for you” so I did. said waitress then hands me the receipt with a refund.. lucky I still wanted too speak to a manager about this waitress because upon checking the receipt she had refunded my sisters meal and not mine? The manager was decent enough and just said ask your sister too transfer you the money over when it gets refunded… and that she’d speak too the waitress. However I was still very upset by the way me and my sister was treated maybe it’s because we are Welsh or because we are young girls and she didn’t take us seriously but as a waitress myself I know this type of service isn’t on...
Read moreThe owner actually made a publicity stunt out of claiming he was banning sales of foreign beers from his pubs! Of course, when he did that he forgot that Guinness was actually a foreign beer. But now of course he's quickly back to selling Coors and San Miguel, etc, etc, because making money is actually the real name of the game and most lager beers are actually foreign. Stay away unless you are desperate or absolutely short of cash because it's still a grimey bar with grimey carpets, tables and chairs and a very grimey owner who actually can't financially live with any of the foreign hating conviction he expects from his regulars.... Apart from that the food quality is the worst I have come across recently. I tried it for the first time in a long time and I won't be going back. The fried egg was rolled into a ball and hidden underneath the bacon. If you want any vegetables (including something simple and very cheap like peas!!!) with your food you now have to pay extra at the roundabouts. The staff couldn't put more than 3 words together in a sentence. I complained about the fried egg that looked like a boiled egg and they took my plate away. Ten minutes later they brought my plate back with a new flat fried egg but of course the rest of the food was cold. It all looks good value on paper because the beer is cheap but actually you will find that you will drink twice as much beer than usual because you will want to forget the experience! The whole Wetherspoons in the city of Bath experience is beyond...

This is the first time I've managed to visit this Spoons branch, on my previous two visits to Bath, the pub was absolutely rammed, and was unable to find a table.
A reasonable sized branch, situated on the western side of the City Centre, in the Kingsmead Entertainment complex. Not too far from the old Bath Green Park Station.
Ordered at the Bar in this occasion.
Ordered a Big Cheese Burger, a double burger with Brie and cheese sauce. This came with chips, two Haloumi fries, and a pint of Leffe Blonde. This was on special offer for £9.96.
This was one of the burgers being offered as part of the Xmas 2024 menu.
The pub was reasonably busy on this visit, and managed to find a table towards the rear of the pub.
Food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering.
Unfortunately the chips and Halloumi fries were lukewarm. However, the overall meal was OK.
Edit: Returned around 8pm after a long trek round Bath. Had the 10" Southern Fried Chicken Wrap, and what appeared to be a large portion of chips! Not bad for £6.67 - with the pint of Leffe Blonde. Only issue was the wrap didn't come with the smokey Chipotle mayo, clearly someone forgot to add it, so was a bit dry.
Wetherspoons really needs a second branch in Bath, not only because this pub can get very busy, but also due to it being a distance from the main part of the large City Centre.
I doknow plans were afoot for a second branch, hopefully will happen at some point...
