Where do I begin… we booked here for a large group for my friends hen do, and as part of the deal we had also pre-ordered our food. We arrived at our designated time, and the table wasn’t even prepared so we had to wait for this. It took about 15 minutes to even ask for our drinks orders. They then came over to tell us they didn’t have some of the starters… it was pre ordered so surely they should prepare for this?! Once those people changed their starter, it was about an hour before we actually got our starters. The mains took 1 hour and 45 minutes. They did bring us some shots (I guess because they know the service is as unacceptable?) but a few of us weren’t even drinking alcohol which should have been obvious by the non-alcoholic cocktails being ordered. I also ordered a mug of tea which they gave me no milk for, and it was about 10 minutes before I could flag anyone down. The main wasn’t actually anything to write home about despite how long it took to come. I had coconut chicken curry and the chicken was just placed on top so clearly hadn’t even been cooked in the sauce. Overall, terrible execution. They should have planned this better. I originally booked a bottomless brunch for my birthday at Las Iguanas, but unfortunately, I was too sick to go and had to reschedule for the following Saturday. On the bus ride there, I realised I had accidentally booked the wrong menu, just a normal meal instead of bottomless brunch. I was stressed and upset, worried about letting my friends down.

When we arrived, it was super busy, but I explained the situation to the gentleman at the front desk. He went to speak with (who I assume was) the manager, and they were kind enough to accommodate us and switch our booking to bottomless brunch! I don’t know if this is something they can always do, but since it was a birthday celebration, I really appreciated them going the extra mile to make it special.

From there, the night was an absolute blast! The cocktails were great, the food was delicious, and the drinks were coming out as fast as we could order them. The girl assigned to our table, as well as all the other staff, were so lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. My five friends and I had an amazing time, and honestly, it was probably the best birthday celebration I’ve had in years.

I went here to celebrate my birthday with my friends and family and overall it was a terrible experience. The food was mediocre for such a price. The nachos were either incredibly soggy or just rock hard. The loaded chicken on their menu is slathered in bad cheap cheese and the chicken just tasted burnt and the bacon was somehow terrible as well. The burger my friend ordered was not only literally charred, as if a fire bender got upset at the slab of meat and torched it. But there was also a hair in the meal. The only good thing about this entire restaurant establishment is the cocktails when you buy one and get one free and drink your sorrows away for when you get the extortionate bill. The waitresses were fine and did a good job though, I dont want to slander them for their work.
