In essence I agree with Anna the service in here is shocking and it was insulting at every junction. First of all the women who had the look and demeanour of a fed up manager or proprietor followed where I'd been like she expected me to have nicked something second of all when it came time to pay I asked for a bag in a reasonable manner she just threw it on the table and when I dared to question her as to whether she was going to bag it up she just said she was busy doing something actually in point of fact she was not. I just found her behaviour bizarre , petty , arrogant , suspicious and snotty. I had arm injuries which made movement difficult at the time , I think the manager got a kick out of being surly and above it all . You never seem to find the same vibe at other business around in the city where the people and their business have been in town for generations , lots of high charging johnny come lately business rocking up all over the city selling niche products in a cold and bad manner. really off putting and walked out. Thankfully this is the age of internet shopping and health food shops on every other cornor in the posher parts of Edinburgh so its not exactly hard to find alternatives with better customer service and friendlier people. The owner, John, provided an incredibly friendly service and even offered to order in a product he doesn’t usually stock, and to set up a click-and-collect service for me.
