Be very careful before you make a purchase here. My wife loves their Santal 33 scent so I enquired about a gift for her. I was shown their candles and said I would take one which was selected and boxed while I stood at the counter. I only realised the candle was Santal 26 when my wife opened it, however, so I took it back today to be told that is the closest candle they do to Santal 33 and it is 'very similar.' I said it's an unwanted gift and I wished to return it only to be told they 'don't do returns because their products are personalised.' How an off the shelf candle is personalised I'll never know but I'm stuck with a £52 item I do not want. None of this was explained to me and I will be checking their legal argument but probably to no avail. I would understand if they had made or mixed something for me but that is not the case and the only personalised aspect of it is the paper label which I believe is a free service. I should add that customer service skills were also severely lacking both when I made the purchase and again today when this was explained...

This is the nicest Le Labo store I have visited, both in terms of selection (they have all the skincare and candles as well as the discovery sets) and service. Sam was friendly, chatty, and informative- really knew his stuff, and also knew a lot of good places to drink whisky! There was no pressure to buy but he put me in a very good mood so I ended up spending more than I planned (with no regrets!). He gave us a number of samples with my purchases, including one for patchouli, which we never otherwise would have tried (loathing the scent of patchouli). Such a delicious smoky scent. Whilst visiting Edingburgh for work I found this hidden gem ....what an experience. The shop is a unique fabulous experience. The girls i met, Lesley and Toni, I know their names , as that's the kind of friendly welcome you get. I left on my first visit with a wealth of which fragrances, going by what I wear, would be best suited, whilst also been taken on a little journey of other notes. I got to sample too. The result being I fell in love with Santal 33, but also Ylang 07 Aswell as the girls who work there for sure. I also found out some great places to eat and have drinks. Thanks girls.
