Crisp 'n' Fry — Local services in Great Britain

I’m extremely disappointed with both the food and the customer service at this takeaway. My wife went in to pick up our fish and chips, and when she got home 5 mins after receiving, the food was stone cold, not fresh, overcooked or dirty oil used, and drenched in excessive spice powder, making it inedible. We decided to return the food and request a refund, but the staff were not only rude but completely unhelpful.

They offered to refry the chips but refused to refund the money my wife had paid as she requested. Even worse, they suggested putting the fish back on display if she left the food behind. Food was then left behind and my wife left the shop without the £14 she had paid. This is completely unacceptable, and we were treated with complete disrespect.

This was an incredibly frustrating experience, and we will not be returning. I highly advise others to think twice before ordering here. Much better Chip Shops in the...

We wanted to try another fish shop as ours was closed. We looked on the internet and this had good reviews. So we tried it this was beautiful no grease.extra large fish skinless. Told the price before cooking which was good price did not matter. Enough chips with out over powering the fish and mushy pease. This will be our fish shop no changing shops. Not ashamed to say that crisp and fry has become one of our regular weekly treats. Some of the best fish I have ever had (Where do you source from because some of them are the size of sharks!!), fab pricing and the staff are the nicest people ever, always so happy and smiley (and very generous with the scraps 😉). My mum now demands fish and chips from this place when she comes to visit, and so far we’ve been too afraid to say no. And we don’t need an excuse. Keep up...
