Rendezvous Cafe — Restaurant in England

A down to earth honest cafe, like you used to find everywhere. Don't expect any frills, but you can certainly expect a very decent breakfast and value for money. I don't know anywhere in Brighton you can get decent poached eggs on toast, 2 rashers of bacon and a mug of tea for £4.60! And it's not as if its all cheap ingredients find in some cafes.

The staff are very friendly, if you take a moment to engage with their banter, and just ordinary folk. If you're a Southerner you may find them very blunt, but I like to think of it as refreshing. Although born here, I've lived down South for a long time and it was a good coming-home visit to walk in and be greeted by proper straight-talking Yorkshire folk!

So despite the decor being similar to the previous owners you get a sense of the place in mid renovation new paint, and chairs are different. however the nostalgia of an era past is still present inside, from the tables to the tiled floor and original lighting fixtures That said the food was better than I expected this being the first time I’ve eaten here since the previous owners ran the establishment, the cooked breakfast was enjoyable and light in comparison to some places that serve food with small puddles of oil surrounding the meats on the plate that can cause food to lay heavy on your stomach. Absolutely appalling. Staff were extremely rude! Went in today. Me and my friend are both exempt from wearing masks. My friend due to having autism can't have fabrics or anything for that matter touching their face. Myself having lung issues making breathing a hassle as it is just getting up and moving about let alone having something obstructing what air I can get into my lungs.
