Lovely coffee shop, visited twice, first visit I was impressed with the ambience, however I returned to find it was very busy,I smoke so I went out back away from people,no signs to say so,I was treated like a Leper, what a shame, other people were complaining, one poor lad by himself chasing about like a blue a----fly,not good enough.please support independent coffee shops, not the big guys, they also do free bandanas,if u (ask nicely).Pity no smoking except at front and breath in exhaust fumes from busses.SMOKERS BEWARE they should let lepers smoke round the back PLEASE.dont lose valuable lepers.(pastel de nata's rule)đ MY reply to you is,Sorry I didn't ask to smoke outside I presumed (wrongly)it was for smokers as there was no sign saying no smoking.so I asked the guy for an ashtray,he told me to go out side which I did n was overcome with bus revving up,I'm not saying anymore but if it was my cafe I would make sure I was there at busy times not in the afternoon when closing,I will come in for coffee when I'm over next, ps I won't b smoking or asking for Portuguese tarts. Also 4 other people complained one bacon not cooked, the other 2 ladies had been waiting 25 mins so up ur game Dizzy or sorry Izzy.    Read moreWe wanted somewhere to sit down and have a spot of lunch whilst we waited for the rain to pass. We had been here before a while ago so we knew it was good and thankfully, it was nearby! It's a very comfy, cosy and homely cafe which definitely was needed that day. One thing to note is that there aren't many tables. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were lucky enough to find the last available one in a corner. The food was amazing! We had the Tuna Melt Toastie and the Ham Salad Bowl. To go with that, we had a Latte and an Iced Gingerbread Latte, which I have to say was good coffee. We did look at the cakes in the cabinet, but there wasn't much left for 2pm, so we decided not to. However, the few options they had looked and sounded very nice. Overall, I can't really fault anything, and I will definitely...
Read moreWe came in sat, decided on food, went to order, I chose to essentially make my own sandwich due to a pretty pathetic breakfast menu. I got 2 slices of toast 1, cheese .75, and bacon 1, in total paid 3.75. An employee came up and asked if I wanted them put together or separate. I said whatever yall want to do I donât care. Then the same employee came up to try to upcharge me saying we underpaid. Firstly, I said whatever yall want to do so, apparently you want to treat your customers poorly. Secondly, if you had undercharged as a business you take that loss on your own and learn that you need to train your employees better. Then finally a manager(?) came up again to try to again upcharge me, came in hot with her till machine ready, saying that cheese and toast costs 5.25 which A. I didnât order, and B. Isnât available until noon. In conclusion, train your employees, respect your customers, and understand the ârulesâ of your own...
