Coffee Room Scarborough — Restaurant in England

I have been to the cafe at Scarborough Station for years with my Dad, he hasn't been as much since before lockdown, the staff are lovely and can't do more for you, except not to fill cups of PG tips/Yorkshire Tea too full as I found that as I walking to my sit down spot looking over Scarborough South Bay, hot tea was dripping continously from the cup, leaving my hands coloured light brown and being unhappy about having tea all over the place. This has happened a few times to me, but I never get round to saying something. Please leave a good gap before the top in cups so that the tea stays in the cup as it should. Other than that, please release your Autumn menu soon, as I am dying to have my Gingerbread Latte which was my favourite drink from there. Cream on top with chocolate sprinkles and a little spoon with it.

Train trip to Scarborough with my brother Monday 16 May 2022. At 5 pm we needed a hot drink. The service was really great especially as our server, Melissa, was lone-working. Really helpful, brought a drink over to us and advised on range on offer. Now quite relaxed and refreshed we watched Melissa going through her end of day routines prior to lock up. Each customer was warmly greeted and efficiently served - even the four guys who arrived at 3 minutes before closing. It’s good to see someone offering such a high level of welcoming customer service. Lots of end of day routines from sorting out of date newspapers and magazines, cleaning and cashing up. Initially started popping in here because I was trying lucky bags (via too good to go app) but the staff are so friendly and I liked the food so much I've started using them when I pass by the station on occasion when I fancy a snack. Today was great as always. I was suffering a potential pre menopausal hot flush so needed a cold drink ASAP, and the nice chap in there not only told me the contents of the pina colada smoothie but cheerily sang whilst he made me one.
