This mural in the centre of Glasgow raises serious concerns—not just artistically, but morally and culturally as well.

Glasgow is a city with a rich history, warm-hearted people, and a spirit focused on hope and community. Scottish culture values kindness, positivity, humour, and resilience. That’s what draws tourists here from all over the world—our welcoming nature, not cold, intimidating walls.

However, this image stands in stark contrast to those values. The expression is cold, the colour palette is harsh, and the overall mood feels dark and unsettling. Instead of inspiring joy or reflection, it gives off a sense of heaviness, conflict, and even rebellion. It doesn’t lift people up—it weighs them down. Children, elderly residents, and visitors alike may feel disturbed rather than engaged. This isn’t the spirit of Glasgow.

This isn’t art that builds—it breaks. It doesn’t inspire light—it drags toward darkness. Public space should serve the public good, and what appears on city walls should reflect the best of who we are.

Most tourists would likely not enjoy this mural. It doesn’t represent Scottish warmth, natural beauty, or tradition. It feels more like a visual protest than a tribute to Glasgow’s soul.

We believe in street art that brings people together, not drives them apart. Art in public spaces should lift the spirit and remind us of the strong but kind...

KaffeespezialitÀten von einer guten Barista Maschine!

FrĂŒhstĂŒckskaffee von der Vollautomatischen Kaffeemaschine, auch sehr gut!
