Si Si Rooftop Mexican American Restuarant and Rooftop Bar atThe Social Hub is little slice of Riviera Maya right here in Glasgow!
10/10 for the incredible chefs as the food was the best Mexican cuisine I’ve ever tasted!
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming smile by Claire, who showed us to our table.
Our server, Ellie, was absolutely wonderful, she made us feel like we were the only customers in the restaurant. Every time our glasses were empty, she was right there to top them up (even when we said we could manage ourselves, she reminded us it was our day and that there’s nothing better than being looked after). Amazing service!
As each dish was ready, the equally lovely Luca brought it over with a smile and engaging chat. Every plate was bursting with flavour, and we couldn’t stop saying how authentic and delicious everything was.
After lunch, we moved out to the spacious rooftop terrace with incredible views across Glasgow! Sitting in comfy seats, basking in the sun and surrounded by gorgeous terracotta pots and plants, it truly felt like we were back on holiday. Anna and the terrace team were so attentive, making sure our drink orders kept flowing without us ever having to leave our seats.
Before leaving, we chatted with Grace to make sure we could get all the names of the amazing team who looked after us. We discovered Grace is actually the General Manager and it showed. She was hands-on, leading from the front, and clearly inspiring her team to deliver such exceptional service.
Well done to everyone at Si Si Rooftop Bar for giving us such an enjoyable, memorable experience. We’ll...
Read moreThis time I went at 22:30... on a Friday.. and had to book only from 22:30 onwards... but was strange as there were many places free...
Anyway I got a table and the sears are soooo comfortable is not ture.. so second time going the people serving were sooo nice is not true..
Still not sure.. why my drinks take a long time.. a couple sat after me and got the drinks before me.. I ordered a spd water and line and that came quick enough...but the virgin cocktail and a prosecco glass.. took a bit long and had to ask if they were coming... not sure if they prioritise other orders..
Anyhow they did come at reasonable time.... and gosh all the drinks were extremely nice.....
One thing is odd.. rhea di not serve any dry food or packaged food like crisps.. tortillas.. or peanuts..or anything else dry..I asked two people.. and both said the kitchen was closed..
Mmmmhh... not sure why you need the kitchen... to open a packet of crisps or nachos.. never mind... hopefully they will come sider that in the future..
The dj gosh she was very very good the music is right to the perfect volume ... perhaps for me a touch too loud.. but the choices were great...and she was a mean dj mixing music.. very very nice..
I ordered 6 drinks and the price was ever sooo reasonable.. ihope they keep it that way... as I will come more often.. Still have to tey the food.. remember kitchen...

Shortly after ordering, the fire alarm went off, forcing everyone down eight dusty flights of stairs into the rain for 25 minutes. While this wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, there was no apology on our return; our drinks were now warm, and food service felt rushed and disjointed.
Our first dish, TOSTADA DE CANGREJO (a cold dish, white crab tostada), was excellent. However, all remaining small plates arrived together, and didn't seem fresh; the “hot” dishes were lukewarm. Only the churros dessert was served piping hot.
Before we had finished our drinks, we were asked to settle our bill to make way for the next booking, despite several empty tables and our time being cut short by the evacuation. This felt very unreasonable and ended our night abruptly.
As we were unhappy, we asked to speak with the manager who promised to email us with a resolution, but it’s now been over two weeks and we’ve heard nothing. Despite our bad experience, we would have given 2 or 3 stars as the place has potential, but the lack of communication means we’re giving 1 star.
Overall: great potential, but poor handling of problems and a lack of basic hospitality left us...
