DO NOT PARK HERE! We arrived, took a ticket, parked up and then went shopping. Just keep in mind you can't enter without a ticket and the barrier lifting to let you in, ticket is time and date stamped with a barcode too so can be tracked.
A little over 2 hours later we returned to the car park and tried to pay at the machine. The machine took the ticket we'd been given when we drove in and said it was invalid. The ticket was gone and we had nothing to then pay for parking.
Pressed the "help" button twice... nothing! No one answered, no one around to ask for help, couldn't see any signs telling us where to go for assistance so we drove to the barrier. At the barrier, pressed the assistance button and was greeted by the most unhelpful agent who simply said "your registration wasn't picked up by the cameras so for me to lift the barrier I have to charge you for 24 hours, £22!" Or abandon our car at the barrier and then walk to level 3 and there might be someone who you can talk to. This incompetent agent wasn't even based on site and didn't have a clue what to do other than threaten us with being trapped inside indefinitely if we didnt pay.
The rude agent spoke over us everytime we asked a question, spoke so quietly it was difficult to hear it over the engines of other cars and tried to say that because their cameras didn't get our reg we have to pay! So their camera issues cost us £22 for a couple of hours... for now anyway!
Avoid this car park because 1, it's a rip off and 2, they will make you pay an extortionate fee for "camera issues" and they will refuse to let you leave.
Look forward to seeing the reply from the owner and will be more than happy to take this matter up in court with my proof after I've reclaimed the money that person MADE us pay in order to...
Read moreI have never experienced such a confusing Car park in terms of its exit process. I am giving this feedback in the hope it will improve the service provided.
The time was 10pm. The mall entrance/exit I used was understandably closed. PROBLEM: No clear direction to the entrance/exit that was open. I am not a local and had no idea where the alternative exit Was.
PROBLEM: When I was eventually pointed by a stranger in the direction of another exit, I paid my parking fee only to find the auto doors from the pay machine to the car park to my level 1 were not working. There was a sign on the other side of the broken door That was not visible from the side I was on. Again I followed a stranger who thought they might know another way. At this point I felt distressed and vulnerable as a lone female having to follow a stranger due to the lack of directions.
PROBLEM: Eventually found another exit some distance away and was able to access my car. There were several cars including mine that were driving around in circles because of NO CLEAR EXIT directions. There were red arrows with no writing alongside green arrows that said way out .
It was not clear which to follow. At a guess we followed the red ones but they went in two directions to further parking and exit. Occasionally there was a red exit sign. Overall it was a nightmare.
I think the designers have made a mistake putting pedestrian and car signs in the same place and not distinguishing the two. Usually pedestrian signs are on the ground and car on ceiling. At q park both are together. The exit route is not straightforward and apart from it being a dreadful overall experience I worry about people being able to exit safely in the...
Read morezero stars... Someone had charged my Ringo account for an overnight stay costing over £20 in a car hire I used 3 months ago. Q-park refuse to give me a refund because I didn't delete the car from my app. I was not aware this had to be done, I thought the app was specific to me and I would need to activate a parking charge. Even once they understand that someone else knowingly charged my account/bank card with this parking, and I was not present with the car. They are refusing to refund my money. I got a text notification when it started, and of course, no one was manning the phones, no one on the Chat, no want to contact them. I was unable to delete the car from the app as parking was active. Disgusting customer service, disgusting attitude towards genuine customers, almost condoning fraud, and theft! Ultimately this is a parking space, no good have been exchanged so it costs them nothing to refund my money. No loyalty to a genuine customer, who has downloaded the app to make a payment. No lets just use your payment details to allow someone else to charge your card and have no way of stopping it on the day, and then treat them with contempt and refuse a refund. The responsibility for the refund is Q-park and not Ringo, but it did take time to establish this as the buck was passed on this subject too. An utter disgrace. The process is clearly open to fraud, please beware everyone, as both parties aren't trying to prevent this from happening, if they were I might have know to delete the hire car. Not for one minute did I think someone could input the car reg and...
