Best station closet to ibis and White Chapel Hotel. It was really very very easy for me to pick up the train as I was in ibis and it's just 2 mins by the walk. Aldgate station is on the District Line. Staff is really helpful. By mistake, I entered here instead of Aldgate and they opened the door for me. Similarly I told that I had already checked In and by mistake I entered the wrong station. I want to enter here -- and they opened the door for me without even checking my card. Nothing special. Just your ordinary ancient London tube station with all the usual features: no restrooms, no disabled entrance (to the best of my knowledge) and no parking. There are several exists, and some provide a nice sheltered area for the many homeless & "rough-sleepers", spending the night yards away from Aldgate's numerous commercial skyscrapers.
