If you are looking to experience Turkish food this is a good place to start. Service was fast and friendly. One of the best services I have experienced in London so far. A thing that I appreciate in this Turkish restaurant is that they offer some pittas and 2 sauces on the table at no extra cost, which really shows the level of hospitality Turks have at their restaurants. I had some Ezmeli Kebabs (sliced Kebabs drenched in a special sauce) which were pretty tasty but nothing exciting to be fair. The cost for this dish was too expensive for the size of the dish and what it overall offers (£15.95). Also tried the house beer which was pretty good. My friend had a Chicken Shish, also very expensive for 2 skewers and some fries on the side (£14). It was nice and tasty but again, nothing special to justify the pricing. The best dish in the house was definitely the Sucuklu Pide! Freshly made with a fantastic breadcrust! Also a bit pricey (£11.5) but out of everything else THIS is absolutely worth it! It was so good that I completely forgot to take a picture of it and upload it for everyone to see. Trust me, any Pide they offer is incredible! Overall service 5/5, food 4/5 and prices 3/5, thus giving an average of 4/5 for my final review.

We usually enjoy dining in at your restaurant — the experience has always been wonderful, and the food has consistently been fantastic. However, when it comes to wraps, it slightly different experience! We ordered two wraps for £23.90. At £9 each, I expected a satisfying and well-prepared meal. Unfortunately, the wraps were very disappointing. When placing the order, I was asked if I wanted garlic sauce, to which I said yes, and I also requested hot sauce. I additionally asked for hummus, but was told it could not be added. The wrap itself consisted of only lamb, with a very small amount of salad. It was dry, lacked the hot sauce I had requested, and had no balance in taste or texture. Both my wife and I ended up feeling unwell afterwards, experiencing stomach discomfort and burning sensations. For £9, the quality and preparation fell far below expectations. Sadly, this experience has cost you two regular customers. I have since seen similar negative reviews regarding your wraps, and I would strongly encourage you to reconsider how they are prepared and served. 👎👎👎

I spend a good deal of money eating out in restaurants all around the world. Tonight’s meal in Efes matched the very best upscale restaurants I frequent. Don’t get this wrong, this is an upscale Turkish kebab shop. Not an insult, Britain is blessed with a strong Turkish’s diaspora who have shared their cuisine with us and integrated it into our culture. Eating here at Efes is an experience unlike many others you will expect. Firstly, the joint is packed. Getting a table here isn’t guaranteed, when secured, you’ll have the choice of wine or beer. I elected for the wine and was steered toward the outstanding Turkish options. Seriously, these are great. As for the food, the fragrance and freshness of our plate (We elected for the Mixed Kebab) knows no bars. It was simply perfect. It could have been served in a more classy joint and won a Michelin Star. Enjoy this place for what it is, I eat routinely in more exotic establishments and this place competes. I also prefer the atmosphere. Great job to all concerned. I am a man of the people. This is a peoples restaurant.

I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS RESTAURANT, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I was just so shocked by the humiliation I went through today. As a customer I felt utterly miserable and inferior. Today me and my friends decided to dine in for Iftar and as soon as we came in and sat down we waited 8 minutes and there was still no one to take our order, even after 15 minutes we had to call them up and ask them to take our order. We clearly told them what we wanted however they served the food in the wrong order which made us confused. We had to wait around 40 minutes for our food and it was getting pretty late. They completely forgot to give us the appetizer course and skipped to the main course as if they wanted us out of here as soon as possible. When we tried to ask them for our appetiser it took them another 15-20 minutes to discuss about what to do with us, they were clearly avoiding our table. The tone they used to speak to us was very offensive, they should be enthusiastic not rude. When they gave use the appetiser at the end we were clearly full, yet we tried to eat as much as possible to show manners. However, one of the workers were like "you didn't even eat it so why make us go through the trouble" when we clearly did and it was what we paid for, they don't have to tell us what to do. This isn't even the main reason why I feel so miserable, I just asked for some water okay? WATER a simple request, but the waiter had the audacity to say "no" with a straight face and rude tone infront of another table full of customers, I felt very humiliated and wanted to disappear. Lastly while we were about to leave, my friend accidentally knocked over a plastic menu frame and she picked it up cautiously and put it back on it's place, however one of the workers told her "Yeah break it break it" like hello is he okay? From where did this restaurant pick it's workers from, cuz that's just inhumane behaviour in my opinion. They even wanted us to pay for customer service, like hell I'd do that. Also they can't speak english well, they got mad beacuse we couldn't understand them. IN CONCLUSION, I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS RESTAURANT,...

Our experience at Efes Whitechapel yesterday was nothing short of appalling. We were a group of 24 who had booked well in advance, looking forward to what should have been a pleasant and memorable evening. Instead, we were subjected to hostility and shockingly unprofessional behaviour from the manager, which ruined the entire experience.

The restaurant had prepared two large tables for us, which initially seemed fine. However, as we began to settle in and choose our seats according to personal preference—keeping in mind that our group consisted of different age groups who naturally wanted to sit with their close family or friends—the manager stormed over. To our utter disbelief, he raised his voice at us and demanded that we “fill in” the seats according to his liking, without any consideration for our group dynamic or comfort.

When we tried to explain or even question this unreasonable request, he didn’t attempt to speak to us politely or resolve the matter diplomatically. Instead, he rudely declared, “If you don’t like it, then leave.” This was an appalling way to address a group of paying customers, particularly one that had taken the trouble to book ahead. We were left stunned by his attitude, which showed not just a lack of professionalism but a total absence of basic respect.

It was incredibly frustrating because the decision of how we arranged ourselves at the tables should have been entirely ours. The tables were booked specifically for us, and it should not have mattered to the staff how we chose to sit. His behaviour demonstrated a shocking disregard for customer service, hospitality, and common courtesy.

What was supposed to be a joyful gathering turned into a deeply unpleasant experience. We felt disrespected, unwelcome, and as though our custom was not valued in the slightest. Such disgraceful treatment is unacceptable, and we will certainly never be returning to Efes Whitechapel. We strongly advise others to avoid this place unless they are prepared to be treated with the...

Honestly, I'm not sure where to start with this review. Popped in for some dinner on my way back from the football, it was busy with a lot of people breaking their fast. Service was slow but I could forgive them due to how busy it was (looked carnage). I waited 20 minutes and no one had bothered to greet me, offer me a drink or even c=give me a menu so I had to ask for this. 10 minutes later, I asked to order some drinks and food - almost 30 minutes after walking into the restaurant. I asked for some bread for the table, this arrived - no dips with it arrived so had to ask for these. Feeling under appreciated by this point was an understatement.

My main course finally arrived an hour after I arrived (I only wanted a mix doner so no real excuse for taking this long). So I'm mid meal, and I kid you not the waiter came over and took my plate and move it to a table the other side of the restaurant saying he had a booking for 15 people and Needed me to move. I was mid-mouthful. Honestly I was disgusted. I asked for the bill after only having eaten half my meal and they had the audacity to put service charge on the bill. I settled the bill and asked to speak to the restaurant manager - no one helped, I just got fobbed off from one person to another.

Never have I experienced such bad service. Ever. This used to be a local and a favourite of mine but I will never return and I urge you all to avoid this restaurant at all costs.

A group of men also confirmed a similar experience whilst outside the restaurant. Shocking, lack of customer...
