Exmouth Coffee Company stands out as a gem in the bustling landscape of London’s coffee scene. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped by the rich, enticing aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, setting the stage for what promises to be an exceptional experience. This café masterfully balances the demands of a fast-paced urban environment with the comforting ambiance of a local hangout.
One of the most notable features of Exmouth Coffee Company is its impressively fast service. Despite the constant flow of customers, the staff handles orders with remarkable efficiency. You can expect your food and drinks to be served promptly, making it an ideal stop for those with a busy schedule or anyone looking to grab a quick bite without compromising on quality.
The breakfast menu is a true highlight, offering a vast array of choices that cater to all tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you crave a traditional full English breakfast with all the trimmings, a light and refreshing avocado toast, or something as unique as their signature breakfast specials, you will find something to delight your palate. The portions are generous, and the presentation is always appealing, making every meal a feast for both the eyes and the stomach.
Of course, a visit to Exmouth Coffee Company wouldn't be complete without sampling their coffee, which is undoubtedly one of the finest in the area. Each cup is meticulously prepared by skilled baristas who have a clear passion for their craft. From the robust and invigorating espressos to the smooth and creamy lattes and cappuccinos, the coffee here is consistently excellent. They also offer a variety of blends and brewing methods, ensuring that every coffee lover's preference is met.
While the quality of the food and coffee is top-notch, the seating arrangements are a bit of a double-edged sword. The space is cosy and inviting, but it can also feel quite tight, particularly during peak hours. The tables are placed close together, which may lead to a somewhat cramped dining experience. However, this intimate setup can also be seen as part of the café’s charm, creating a bustling, lively atmosphere that many patrons find endearing.
The decor of Exmouth Coffee Company further enhances its appeal, with a blend of rustic and contemporary elements that create a warm and welcoming environment. The thoughtful interior design, coupled with friendly and attentive staff, makes it a place where you feel right at home, whether you're there for a quick coffee, a leisurely breakfast, or a casual meeting with friends.
In conclusion, Exmouth Coffee Company excels in delivering a memorable and satisfying café experience. The fast service, extensive breakfast menu, and exceptional coffee make it a standout choice in a city full of dining options. While the seating might be a bit tight, the overall atmosphere and quality more than make up for it. If you’re in the area, a visit to Exmouth Coffee Company is highly...
Read moreReally poor customer service and experience in this cafe, sadly. Food was okay but poached eggs came with just one small slice of toast. I would not go back. Staff let us know to sit in on a weekend you have to order food, this was fine with us. (Interestingly you can’t order quiche or toastie or croque etc it has to be from brunch menu with more expensive items) that was fine and we ordered and had food and coffee within 45 mins. When they cleared plates about 5 mins later waitress came over and asked ‘how long are you planning to stay?’ Explaining that she had people waiting for a table. I’ve worked in hospitality for years and understand the need to turn over tables when it’s busy but her manner was very rude. We asked could we stay a bit longer if we ordered more coffee (since my friend I was with was starting work around the corner in 20 mins and we wanted to catch up) she said yes that’s fine. When coffee arrived another waitress was sent over by the first one who told us ‘if you don’t order more food from the brunch menu you have to leave within 30 mins’ we were kind of shocked but understood the message clearly. There were other free tables and the one next to us had arrived before we got there and sat on much longer but didn’t seem to be experiencing the same problem. I hope no sort of profiling was going on of our table but I’m not sure. Very disappointing experience, we left well before the 30 mins which we were going to anyway. When leaving I let the waitress know she made us feel really unwelcome with all of her comments and cajoling but she seemed to not care at all, she was so patronising and fake smiling through gritted teeth. Strange atmosphere, all we wanted was a quick brunch but there you go! Being barrelled out the door. Hopefully our feedback helps for future visitors to have a...
Read moreTwo of my friends and I went to Exmouth Cafe in Whitechapel on Saturday morning and our experience has been tainted by the level of service by the staff, which was awful. One of my friends was 5min late and at the back there was a table for 4 people with sign saying "Minimum 3 people", so we didn't think anything and sat on that table since my friend will be here shortly and there was no sign saying "Wait to be seated" etc. As soon as we sat down, the member of staff approached and demanded to move to a table for two people, because we were not 3 yet. We explained that our friend is 5min away and we don't want to be moving again and again (simply didn't make sense), but staff didn't listen and said we should be coming to the coffee shop all together - the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! The waitress/manager moved our coffee from one table to another without our consent. It already gave us a bitter taste in terms of experience. When our friend arrived as expected 5min later, we had to move again! The staff member even came to give us the permission to move! After we had a coffee and some food, one of the friends left, so we were demanded to move to a smaller table for two people only. At this point, we just left all together. I understand you want to make profits as a business and hit your targets, but you don't push your customers around and demand to move in particular that you are charging hire prices for eat-in, which means I'm already paying more for the right to sit at the table and I'm not paying to be pushed around! On top of that the fire alarm went off 3 times and there was lots of smoke coming from the kitchen - no one came to apologise or explain what was going on, whether we were okay to continue or needed to leave. After this experience, none of us are going back to this...
