We had high expectations about our visit at the hoop and grapes. In the end it was quite disappointing. The Interieur was cozy and nice - but the food was not worth the stay - so sorry for the harsh words. But it was New Years and we were looking forward to a Perfect night out in London with amazing Food such as your „famous pie“. I had the beef rip pie - no tenderness, just dry pieces of sad meat lying on the bottom of the dish covered with dry pastry- not even the gravy was able to make it better. I couldnt taste the rich wine or any sort of seasoning. That was a bummer. Especially when its beeing proudly advertised as „unbeatable“. My boyfriend was also very disappointed with his choice: the rib-eye steak. No tenderness due to stringy meat which was unable to be cut properly. Also drinks we ordered were forgotten and so loveless presented and out of a sudden we were asked to go by the staff because the bar was closing at 10. that was 5 minutes before 10. people at the other tables still had been given full glasses of beer and they had to pack up now. Why not inform the people 30 minutes beforehand or Even at their arrival? So all in all the one Point is just for the beautiful interior. Not for the sad and tasteless food, the non existent service, the overprized Menu and drinks, nor the push out at the end. We will not be coming back, but I Hope you Speed up the Game to make your Marketing for an amazing stay worth for upcoming visitors that expect great...
Read moreVery poor service for lunch - had to ask to be seated at booked table then waited 20 mins for order to be taken - had to go to bar to ask for lunch order to be taken. During our whole visit staff seemed bored to be there which created an unfriendly atmosphere. Asked to move out of our seat by employee while the projector sound was adjusted and employee stood on our seat with dirty shoes. We had to asked to move tables as employee didn’t seem to realise how unhygienic and what a poor level of customer service this was. After requesting to have our order taken, the staff member I had asked proceeded to clear tables next to us slowly before taking order despite lunch area being empty of people. The wine we ordered was fine - the only redeeming quality of the lunch. Nachos were sparsely topped and beef shin and brisket pie was full of gristle and barely edible. Carrots were luke warm and not thyme roasted as suggested by menu and mash had a skin on it and was lukewarm suggesting it had been sitting for a while. Waited 20 mins for someone to clear our table but no one came, had to pay bill at bar. Overall extremely poor experience and improvements required in training of staff, friendliness of staff and quality of food. Do not waste your time in London here when there are so many other great...
