Visited Dulce for some late breakfast/brunch. Was told their last breakfast kitchen orders are taken at 3.30pm. We arrived a few mins after 3.30 but they kindly still took out order as we called on the way.
Halal status: 100% HALAL HMC CERTIFIED
Service: Well attended to and friendly staff. Food served in 10-15mins.
Atmosphere: Music was playing and we had to try ignore it as we tried to talk over it and my child was sleeping. Personally dont think the music is needed. Calm atmosphere otherwise.
Ordered: Eggs Royale and Brooklyn Style Breakfast and Peri Peri Chicken Panini.
Eggs royale 3.5/5 - hollandaise sauce was light and nice. Smoked salmon was quality, muffin was not too hard and not too soft. However the plate had balsamic vinegar spread at the bottom for aesthetics it seemed and for the rocket salad this overpowered the taste of the eggs royale and made the muffin a little soggy. Maybe better to just add the vinegar to the salad.
Brooklyn Style breakfast (2 eggs fried, 2 sausages, 2 turkey rashers, stack of pancakes, maple syrup, clotted cream and variety of fresh fruits for pancakes) - 3.5/5 - Eggs were cooked very well. Pancakes were really nice. We did not like the maple syrup it had a hint of an orange infused taste. Clotted cream was more like whipped up cream. One of us did not like the cream and one of us did not mind it. Turkey rashers were very dry and chewy. Sausages lacked flavour have tasted better.
Peri Peri Chicken Panini - 4/5 - Very nice flavour a bit less spicy for my liking but overall very nice.
Drinks: Fresh Orange Juice - 5/5
Mocha White - 4/5
Overall:
Price paid for all the above was 43£ for brunch/breakfast its more then we are used to. However Dulce is in a busy city area. For the taste I would not warrant the price. Other Halal breakfast options are available at better prices and I have enjoyed them breakfasts more.
FLAVOUR SCORE: a mediocore 3.5/5
Would I visit again?
If I was in the area and had no other options I would. Popping in for a panini or coffee if I was around. But for a brunch or sit down breakfast its nice to try but won't be on my list of breakfast...

Accessibility & Atmosphere (2/5) Before even getting to the coffee, the glass entry door is a major issue—heavy, narrow, and likely a nightmare for accessibility. It feels like an overlooked design flaw that could make entry difficult for many people.
Coffee Quality (2/5) Ordered a flat white (takeaway) with my own cup for £2.95—a reasonable price, but unfortunately, the coffee didn’t live up to expectations. • Over-extracted espresso, resulting in an unpleasant sourness rather than a smooth, balanced flavour. • Overly milky, diluting the coffee’s strength and making it closer to a weak latte. • Lack of a thick layer of microfoam, which is the defining characteristic of a good flat white—instead, the texture was off, lacking the silky smoothness that makes this drink special.
Value for Money (2.5/5) At £2.95, it’s one of the cheaper flat whites I’ve had, but unfortunately, the quality didn’t match up. Even at this price point, a properly extracted espresso and well-textured milk should be expected, and many other coffee spots in London get it right for a similar cost.
Overall Rating: 2/5 Dulce Coffee didn’t live up to the glowing reviews—the coffee was unbalanced, poorly textured, and overly milky. Combine that with the poor accessibility due to the heavy glass door, and it’s not a place I’d rush back to.
Would I return? Unlikely. There are better options nearby that offer a better flat white for a...
Read moreAwful waitress, extremely rude and I believe racist. I went there to meet with one of my friends, hoping to order something from the bakery and a coffee and to do some work. My friend arrived I was already sat at a table and then another table became free and since it was less crowded my friend went to go sit at this table, with me following behind her.
This is when this absolutely rude waitress snapped and shouted at my friend for sitting at the table before she cleaned it. Working in customer service myself I would never shout at a customer for moving to a table that was not yet cleared. It is not lost on me that my friend is a dark skin girl and I’m very sure this waitress would have not snapped at anyone else like this. And if she would she needs to be let go of. After she came and started to clear the table but there was no way I would stay and give my money to a cafe where a member of staff would talk to my friend in such a way for simply sitting at a table that has not been cleared yet.
I would not recommend anyone to come a place with such awful customer service and plain rudeness. There are plenty of better places within walking distance. Walked a couple minutes and we found a lovely place with a beautiful bakery, delicious coffee and amazing staff. It also wasn’t as small as cramped as this...
