Overpriced Poor Quality food with poor service, a rip off - I came to this takeaway shop based on the good reviews. The lady directed me to order food from the written chinese menu on the chalkboard with no price marked on each dish. I ordered the vegetable pan fried squid with a bowl of plain rice. It costed me £4.5 for the rice and almost £17 for the dish. The squid was not fresh, tasteless and extremely rubbery and the portion was very small. The rice quality was very poor like it was overnight and reheated in the microwave. I finished the dish because I was very hungry and was in a rush to a class. I can only force myself to eat one third of the rice. I was the first one to order and the last one to be served amongst three customers. For that price I can eat much much better food in a restaurant than in a small takeaway shop.

The most ignoring part was I complained to the owner how poor the food was. She asked me if the squid was too chewy. She knew it before it was served. She didn’t apologize for that poor quality food.

I ended up being hungry and angry after the meal and felt I was ripped off. This is the worst dining experience I had in my life and will not be back again. If I can give zero...

I ordered honey pork and chicken fried rice The rice was burnt with bits of what looked like burnt food bits from previous meals

The honey sauce was as watery as can be, whilst the veg (cabbage or lettuce leaf) was gone off so bad you could clearly see it should have never been cooked.

I’m not sure how old the pork meat was, but I couldn’t eat this!!!

If it wasn’t for the fact that they were closing by the time I had got home, I would have taken the food back and let them keep the money!!!

This our local Chinese and have been going for years and the food has always been good. But now the baton has been passed to the next generation and the food is even more delicious than before. The flavours are clean and tasty and distinct not like your usual takeaway. And the new young team are really helpful and enthusiastic. Their specials are particularly yummy and interesting.
