Any shops that I give 5 stars, meaning I will for sure to come back! I am staying in a nearby hotel and I did not chose the ā€žinclude breakfast optionā€œ because I know there are soooo many great places for breakfast in London. And Balance is a great example. They open 7:30 in the morning on a weekday and the choices are amazing! I picked the Halal option as it’s a bit more special and added smoke salmon and avocado! With a hot large Matcha latte. Perfect! The smoke salmon is thinly sliced, not too salty, not too smoky, the beef sausage is a bit salty for me, but good with the butter toasted bread. The harsh brown is also well prepared! Even the baked bean! I don’t normally like baked bean, but their baked bean tastes fresh. All these for less than 30 GBP. It’s not cheap but I can skip lunch for sure. Perfect for the lunch hour flights. Who wants sandwiches when you can have such a great full English breakfast! Highly recommended if you are in the area. Lots of seats in the morning. They also have lots of cakes available but I am in UK and the British breakfast needs to be had at least once. Lunch menu served after 12:00 looks also amazing and will be on my list next time I come to London!

Really nice atmosphere, service is fast, you order and pay at the counter. I went for a Sunday brunch, but planning to become a more regular costumer! :) The only thing which irritated me a bit was the coffee- too expensive (I had a a large Latte with soy milk and the size and vegan milk were added on top to the normal price, but I just think it ended up being too much!!) I chose 1 main and 2 salads: Tuna steak was really good, a bit overcooked, but the soy dressing worked pretty well. Celeriac salad super tasty, preferred this one to the other one with apples, cucumber, onions ecc. Portions are good but I shall admit I wasn't completely full afterwards. However, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WILL ADD IT TO MY FAVOURITE SPOTS, because the food is really healthy and the combos of the salads, quiches, mains are really nice, would love to try them all! Brunch and breakfast menu is also vast and I would definitely try a smoothie next time! See you soon, Balance Kitchen!

Feeling under the weather with a cold, I walked past Balance and saw that fresh juices were available. Upon walking in I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's interior and all the beautifully presented fresh food. I ended up taking advice from a very helpful and friendly staff member and went for the Energise juice which contains apple, carrot and ginger (extra ginger to help with my cold). I was so impressed with the service and my juice that I returned for brunch with a close friend and also got a takeaway box for my lunch later that day. All of the team in Balance appear to have great morale which is a sign of good leadership and it is reflected in their positive work ethic. I have to give a special commendation to one staff member for her attentive and caring service, twice that day. Maria, you are a great asset to the business, thank you for your caring and delicious recommendations. May you keep up your greatness.

This is just a lovely cafĆ©. You can tell it opened not long ago, it’s absolutely spotless! It is quite modern inside and the atmosphere is nice. We sat in the space at the back and it was perfect after a stressful busy morning visiting the London aquarium ( half term holiday!!). We found this cafĆ© by chance and it just inspired me straight away as we were walking past it. It was inviting and the staff are nice, smiling and relaxed. A lady who I believe is the owner or manager seemed very attentive to detail and explained to me what was on the menu in a super nice and friendly manner. We had some soup with my mum who was visiting from France. Absolutely delicious and so comforting as it was such bad weather outside. I know you can make up your own salad but we didn’t have it. We had coffee. My mum who is a connoisseur said the expresso was exquisite and the best she has had in London so far. We had some nice cakes too and they were good; brownie perhaps a bit dry but still tasty... we enjoyed this little late lunch break very much and I will keep this as a great memory especially since my 3 year old slept in his buggy all through šŸ˜„. I look forward to being in the area again soon and to visiting...

Fantastic food, aweful service.

My friend booked last Saturday for 6 of us, when I arrived, I was told 'we don't take bookings (despite 2 phone conversations confirming). After asking for a table we were completely ignored. Eventually sorted a table for ourselves and ordered.

Orders are taken at the til, and everyone had to wait (along with other very patient customers) for someone to take our order as there isn't anyone dedicated to this.

Food arrived soon after ordering, and was supurb, we had various breakfasts, pancakes, eggs, toast, etc, everyone was happy with their food, drinks and brownies!

Someone needs to take charge. Taking orders should be a priority over clearing tables (one lady rushed around clearing empty cups and plates while 5 of us were at the til!) I prefer to wait at my table with my friends over waiting in a queue to order. Hire more staff over the weekend, there are lots of students etc who will happily work here.

Not sure if anything will change as Balance continue to get good food reviews, but I saw a few people come in & leave after seeing the queues.

I won't go back after the service received, Lower Marsh is FULL of amazing cafes with staff who are...
